Illegal Alien California DREAM Act Passes, Heads To Schwarzenegger

Bookmark and Share

Gil Cedillo
Here is the most moronic statement by a state legislator ever

"No student here would be bumped as a result of this new program” - California State Senator Gil Cedillo.

OK, some simple math here. There are X amount of seats in colleges. The California DREAM act gives free tuition to illegal aliens. That means that some illegal aliens will get into college when Americans cannot afford it. Therefore some American students will be denied entry. That is of course unless Gil Cedillo is proposing that we force colleges to add more chairs just for the illegal alien students, which of course is not the case.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has until mid October to sign or veto the bill.

This idiot, Gil Cedillo, is the same guy who kept putting illegal alien driver license bills into the Capitol year after year which earned himself the nickname of "One Bill Gil". Time and time again they have been defeated. Now it seems Gil Cedillo needs a new nickname. I propose we nickname him Gil "The Asshole who hates American students" Cedillo. What do you think?

News 10

The regular legislative session ended Wednesday morning with more than 230 bills being sent to the governor's desk, including some very controversial measures.

One of the more controversial bills has to do with undocumented students and financial aid for school. Sen. Gil Cedillo authored the California Dream Act bill which would allow undocumented students to apply for all state financial aid available except Cal Grant's A and B programs.

Cedillo, Democrat from Los Angeles, says the Dream Act will not take away scholarships from legal students but critics had questioned that.

"We've got working poor in California," said Assemblyman Mike Villanes, R-Clovis. "We've got middle class in California who can't afford to send their kids to college and because they make [a certain income] they get no help, so they don't grants. They may get loans, but that's a real problem."

"No student here would be bumped as a result of this new program," Cedillo said. "What we are doing is that that money is being sent back to the state. That money should be invested in quality education for every Californian."

Late last month, students went door to door at the State Capitol to drum up support for the California Dream Act. It garnered enough support to pass and is now headed to the governor's desk.

Yep, this is what is coming to the Federal government as well, so that all illegal aliens can displace American students.

There's an old saying out in California. "As California goes, so goes America". Let's hope that our Congress doesn't pass anything ever like this (although I have my doubts about the Senate, since they're a bunch of traitors who tried to pass amnesty for illegal aliens).

Here's a few of "One Bill" Gil's past attempts to force through driver's licenses for illegal aliens:

Sep 2004
- Arnold Schwarzenegger Vetoes Illegal Alien Drivers License Bill

Jan 2005
- Asinine Celebrities Make Ad For Illegal Alien Drivers Licenses

Feb 2005
- Governor Schwarzenegger Says He Will Not Approve An Illegal Alien Drivers License Bill

Sep 2005
- California Assembly And Senate Pass Illegal Alien Drivers License Bill (SB-60), Arnold To Veto

Jan 2006
- 'One Bill' Gil Cedillo Strikes Again, Introduces Illegal Alien Drivers License Bill (SB 1160)

Oct 2006
- Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Vetos Illegal Alien Drivers License Bill Again

This guy is an idiot and so is the California legislature for continuing to pass this drivel. Just remember that this is one of the reasons that Gray Davis was recalled as Governor of California. He signed one of these things just prior to getting the boot and it was promptly repealed as soon as his sell out ass hit the streets.

At least Hispanics aren't lazy to do all the work, what have you done you probably aren't able to keep a 4.0 average like some Latinos can in college what are you 18? if Americans cant afford it, its because they were too lazy to work for a scholarship. they're plenty of Hispanics that do meet the criteria for a scholarship the only thing they're missing is documents

What ignorance. The Dream Act DOESNT grant FREE tuition to anyone. It is simply the oppurtunity for children who grew up in the United States and sat in the same classroom as all the other Native American children, learning the same grammer and U.S. history for up to 12 years to have the same right to complete the education they have worked hard for.

The Bill is to allow them to go to college AT ALL since in most cases illegal aliens can't even GET IN to college. They are students who know no other home but the United States and have no fault or say in their illegal status. They want to live here legally and simply want to go to college and live out the dream they were promised in History and Government courses all their lives. One nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for ALL said our founding fathers whom I beleive were also immigrants in pursuit and in battle for a better life.

The DREAM ACT isn't to take up the seats of Americans it's just to give them a chance for a better future. They're not getting a complete free ride. They have to get accepted and they have to go through the same thing every other American student does...for them it's just harder...because it's not very easy to get accepted into college by being illegal... I honestly think that the people that are against this(mainly students) are just scared of competition. I'm graduating Salutatorian this year class of 08 and being illegal makes things challenging for me. It gives me little hope for the future. It makes me feel like all my hard work and effort was for nothing. I deserve just like every other American to go to college and be what i want to be. All I need are my documents. That's why I am hoping and praying to GOD that the DREAM ACT passes.

Any US Citizen with ambition can attend and pay for college. If they are lazy, they don't. Those are the Americans you are describing. If the undocumented person and an American citizen are both applying for college, let the one with the better grades, scores, etc, win.

This act is gonna pass you like it or not, so go and stick your head up your ass motherfucker and live in the ignorance you have lived because I assure you that karma
is going to come back and get you so be afraid, one more thing why do you keep calling us "aliens"? last time I checked people from Mexico, Central America and South America ARE Americans because we were born in the American continent so WE ALL ARE AMERICANS YOU IGNORANT FUCK we were not born in Europe or Asia, go back to school and take some geography classes.

Posted by: Fuck All that are against on September 23, 2007 07:50 PM

i bielive you need to get some education yourself. Many hispanics are very bright and if they work HARDER than a US citizen during hgh school then they deserve the scholarship. I am going to a university without any aid because I don't qualify and yet my mother is working her ass off to pay my tuition smester after semester. I have a 3.6 GPA. I deserve to be in school because I have lived here since the age of 4. There are no excuses for anyone not to go to college you dumbass. Stop bringing the same lame argument of omg theyre tryin to take our spot in society. Your like all those that say that immigrants are here to take away your jobs. wtf I bet you would never do the jobs that some immigrants do. On the contrary they bring nothing but good to the economy and if they are educated they will bring even more t our economy. So keep on talking because no matter what you say, this act will pass.

Posted by: zco on September 26, 2007 02:30 PM

I believe that maybe the one who is racist here is you digger. Is it so bad to fight for your people and work towards what's best for your people? After all, thats how this country was funded. Do not forget that this country is built on immigrants. Also do not forget that "illegal" immigrants aren't only mexicans, or puertoriquenos, etc. they are also chinese, irish, bulgarian, kenyan, etc. This law would benifit everybody.

Posted by: To Digger on September 27, 2007 11:23 AM

Who said you DESERVE anything? You think just be virtue of being in this country illegally, you should be privy to the same educational opportunities as your legal counterparts? That mentality is absurd...Americans should take care of their own first and foremost. Go to your country of origin and get your college edcuation funded by YOUR people...we're tired of toting your loads.

FYI: Of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, 48 were native-born Americans, while 2 came to this country as infants. Of the 39 signers of the United States Constitution, 32 were native-born Americans. The few signers of both documents who were not native-born, all came from Great Britain or British colonies. Better crack open the books folks.

The US owes NOTHING to illegal aliens except deportation. No rights for illegal aliens except the right to go home. Let's have that fence now.

Posted by: gzeena on September 30, 2007 03:47 PM

As an american citizen, what does the illegal alien think that we owe them? First, America is not Mexico or South America. We are all individual countries with different governments. I took history and Geography and belive me I know that I do not live in Mexico or South America. When will all the illegal aliens make their governments accountable for their human rights. I don't believe that breaking the law entitles you to free education, medical serivces, or the right to tell us what to do. The best way to solve this issue, is go back and get in line and do what the legal procedure requires you to do. Also, with the language that some of you are using on this website shows the quesionable mentality that people belive you have. Once again when will Mexico assume some responsibility for the inadequate education, medical services, and just downright human rights of dignity. I would love to see some of all these illegal aliens pose this questions to their own government. I have family that came to America and became citizens through the legal process, but the difference between them and this issue is that they did not have a sense of entitlement, that American citizens feel with this group of illegal aliens.

Hello Digger,

Have you ever been to agricultural fields here in California? Either way, if you didn't know they're full of illegal immigrants, yes, in fact they're loaded. My question is this, why doesn't the government proceeds with massive raids on these locations and deport every single illegal alien? You may say it's not practical, but the actual answer is that it's NOT convenient; why do you think that the government does nothing, it's common sense! And if they did proceed with this action, who would work the fields? I don't think you would want to work out there in the extreme temperatures for 8+ hours at a minimum wage! Be honest to yourself and answer this question, only then will you understand the importance of the "illegal aliens."

Consider this, California's economy depends on agriculture, can you imagine if there was a shortage! California's economy would go down the hill and you would be paying a lot more for your tomatoes, grapes, wines, hamburgers(they have vegetables in them), and so forth. Why? Well take what you have learned in Economics(if you haven't then once you do, you will understand what I am talking about), apply the law of supply and demand.

You can also look at it this scenario where all the illegal aliens have been deported. Taking in consideration that these jobs are no piece of cake, no one would want these jobs, the only way for employers to attract new employees9like you) is to pay more. Since employers would have to pay you more, they would ask more for their products. Since stores, restaurants, etc., would have to pay more, they would have to sell their products at higher prices to make a profit.

My point is this, if California benefits from the presence of illegal aliens, so why not allow immigrants to benefit from California? That's why they should have a shot at attending college and a road to success.

And by the way stop stereotyping immigrants. Immigrants come from all over the world, NOT just from Mexico and South America, get the through your greedy minds!

I want to add that, I love America, it's by far the best country in the world! So why not let those who work hard stay? I do support the deportation of criminals and also those who are here just to take advantage of our welfare system.

*Don't get me wrong, not all people in the agricultural are illegal aliens, but the majority of them.

You have got to be kidding me!!! Have any of you actually read the bill??? It states that an "illegal alien" (one who was not born in the U.S. or been granted citizenship...just in case you didn't know because clearly some do not) can receive "in state tution" just like a U.S. citizen (Not a citizen of the America's to clarify)who resides in said state. That means, for all you geniuses going to "out of state" universities that you will be paying around triple what someone with "illegal alien status" will pay just for getting a GED or high school diploma in the U.S. If the bill included that the "out of state" students pay the same as the "illegal aliens" then it would make it alot easier to accept. By the way, all those who are in favor of this bill now will be the first ones to comlain when there are no jobs left because of the so called "opportunities" you wanted to afford those who chose not to become U.S. citizens. This is exactly how the U.S. will become the laughing stock of the world...oops!! We already are!!!

Keep it up Digger! Illegals aren't entittled to anything, let alone our education system for free, reduced tuition, or even a fair rate. Get a green card, apply for a visa, do somthing to affirm your dedication to this country's laws before we give you an education, not after. Any of you that watch How It's Made on Discovery should know that as soon as we get rid of all those illegals and are short on help John Deere and Cat will have a machine that picks lettuce, peas, etc. more efficiently then ever and with a lot lower ocurrenc of workers taking a crap in the field and spreading salmonella to all of the consummers. Americans aren't lazy and Latinos don't work any harder then they have to. They've just been exploited and under paid so they have to work harder to make it here. My construction company employees hard working, corn fed, home grown mid western boys that will lay waste to any crew compused of illegals, in both quantity and especially quallity. I'm tired of hearing how Americans are lazy, get out of the suburbs and into the country and you'll see American boys with real work ethic

Posted by: mike tschida on October 9, 2007 10:11 AM

I think that this [Dream act] is just another way for those lazy assholes to get higher up in our government and defeats the fighting our families have done for this great nation. If this allowed to be passed it will spread untill this country will collapse like the Roman empire.

On another note , that the illegal whos getting off for murder should fry in one the electric chairs that is still in use.

There is one way to stop illegals from crossing the borders. Put down some land mines, first one to see there friend explode into a couple thousand pieces will think twice before trying again.

Posted by: matthew on October 10, 2007 11:26 AM

This is not about the fact that they have been in this country for all their lives. The facts are these families like my own have had the chance to put in for citizenship, and have not. If you live in a country for so many years, put in to be a citizen like my family and members have done. If you are here illegally, like other countries of the world, you should be deported, and go through immigration like many citizens have done. You disrespect the citizens who have earned the right to be citizens, and did not jump the fence like so many in CA. Their children have no rights and have no priveledges to our taxpayer money or education.

I understand why both sides feel the way they do but we both have to stop being so naive and think about the situation. My family and I came to america legally, but didn't renew our visas in time which in result made our status "illegal", I was 2 then. my parents began the resident process but due to our "illegal status" we had to do it a more difficult way, a good 16 years has passed and they are now barely becoming citizens. People don't realize how long, difficult, and expensive the process is, you have to pay for so many applications and lawyers. I still have to this day not became a citizen. Its hard to listen to all these people talk so much CRAP about us mexicans, I just don't understand what the big deal is!!!! I don't consider myself any different from any AMERICAN, I was the "ALL AMERICAN GIRL". I graduated high school in 3 years, I ranked in the top 10% in my class(number 8 to be exact), I was a varsity cheerleader,AND I was homecoming and prom queen for my school. what... did I not deserve to be part of any of that just because I'm ILLEGAL??? I am currently attending one of the best Universities in Texas and plan to do big things with my life. although my naturalization is in process, I will never forget my roots. I came from a family who's only language is spanish, now I will use it to my advantage to show that my people are hard workers and deserve everything we get and much much more. Immigrants need the U.S. just as the U.S. needs immigrants.. who else is going to do the low paying, degrating jobs?? At least my people WORK... when's the last time you've seen a mexican stand on the side of the road and ask for money??... and you say my people are LAZY??? PLEASE....

Posted by: Marisol on October 24, 2007 05:11 AM

It's really sad to hear all you stupid people criticize what you call "illegal aliens". First of all do some research on the Dream Act because you obviously don't even know what it's about. No where does it say that illegal students would be taking anyones seat, or that they would go to school for free. This ACT simply states what is fair. I have been in this country since I was 4 months old, this is home to me! I WAS an honor student all throughout my studies, until I graduated from a UNIVERSITY! That's right!!! I have a B.A. and no ignorant fucks like you are gonna stop anyone who has the heart to fulfill their dream, whether they are legal or not. My mother and I had to work our asses off to pay for school. I am confident that this bill is going to pass so that others like me won't have to live the unfair reality that I had to!!!

"The California DREAM act gives free tuition to illegal aliens. That means that some illegal aliens will get into college when Americans cannot afford it."
dude i dont know if is stupidity or ignorance, tell me something isn't there something wrong with this picture? you should be ashame that u even said that.."when Americans cannot afford it?" please let us said that in OUR countries not here, in America, if Ameicans dont go to college it is not becuase they cant afford it its because they are too lazy to fight for what they want and take wut they have for granted, so dont come with that bull S*** alright, u should know better!

Posted by: Michelle on October 18, 2008 11:19 PM

I don't know why people are opposed to DREAM ACT. I've been here since 4th grade and graduated last year but I can't afford to go to college even though we have been paying taxes indirectly. If I go back to my country, I would be screwed since I don't even know how to read my country's language.

Posted by: Vishal Patel on November 11, 2008 11:49 PM

And many American citizens were born and raised here and went to school all their lives here and can't afford college. Meanwhile an illegal alien gets into college. So you get no sympathy from me.

Posted by: Digger on November 12, 2008 05:00 PM

You are a ignorant ass hole who needs a reality check. the immigrants are not taking anyone's spot! they just want the chance to be educated an oppurtunity that many americas do not take advantage of. dill hole.

Posted by: Vanessa on June 25, 2009 12:37 AM

Nothing for illegals.... NOTHING. I'm sick of these arrogant lafinos acting like they are the only race that matters. No college, no welfare, housing, healthcare, OUR JOBS. NOTHING!!!! GO HOME!!!!!!!
Lafinos are the lazy freeloading S.O.B's that are ruining this country.
FYI to all you Lafinos....AMERICANS are the hardest working most innovative people in the world. PERIOD!
If you lafinos are sooooo ffffing smart and hard working..... then why is your country a shit hole????????
And stop using the fact that OUR ancestors were immigrants. Yes, they were and they built the greatest nation in the world. You lafinos had no part in that. Stop trying to take what our immigrant ancestors built with their blood, sweat and tears and make it yours.

Your just an idiot Digger. A biased person who cannot feel for students who work exteremely hard in school to achieve nothing. Without financial aid, without any kind of income, you starve these children and take the opportunities away from these poor students. This is not right. And BTW, your information is completely erroneous and false. The D.R.E.A.M ACT does not provide free tuition for AB-540 students. It gives them financial aid and essentially creates an opportunity for them to pursue higher education.

Posted by: Alex Kim on September 3, 2009 11:37 PM

It gives them financial aid and essentially creates an opportunity for them to pursue higher education.

An opportunity which allows that illegal alien to take the seat of a legal immigrant or American citizen in college. This is OUR country. For people WE allow in.

There's nothing mean about it.

Posted by: Digger on September 3, 2009 11:49 PM

You are a fucking idiot. I am a proud Mexican (AND Caucasian you ass but am not too proud to soap box THAT blood line! too close to the likes of YOU!) and my people were here a lot longer than the ignorant, pompous, self imagined entitled populous that is here now claiming America to be all theirs, all mighty and all deserving! White supremacists have no business being in an over populated world where we should all be working together for global peace not global superiority or domination. Go back to your cave and stay there...most of us forward thinking, equality based intellectuals want nothing to do with your kind.

Posted by: Teresa Martinez on December 3, 2009 12:38 PM

You are so INCREDIBLY ignorant. The California Dream Act DOES NOT grant free tuition to illegal immigrants. Get your facts straight.

comment from a hard working white woman who has never received any help for college, no free lunches in school, no welfare and now I am having to fight like hell to keep what money my husband left me . he and i worked in tobacco fields that the lazy ass blacks and illegals were too friggin sorry to work in. No they were too busy bitching and complaining wanting every thing handed over to them. The only time they move is when they get their welfare checks that White people have worked for. Yep that's right you heard me. You dark skins are always cutting us down, calling us crackers. Yeah, well tell me something. why is it, i can't sit in a library and get on the internet without some illegal or some black jaskass wanting me to date them ? Oh and what kind of women are they looking up on the internet? cute little blond white girls , that's who. So you can take your cracker remarks and all your racism , cos you people are ten billion times more racist than I ever was . and you can ram those remarks up your stinking asses. I don't know why God lets you people live. we need some more viruses that will take your dark asses out of here , and this country will be fit to live in again. cos one thing's for sure , white men aren't man enough to do the job.

REMEMBER: THE ISSUE HERE IS NOT about race and being a minority, it's ALL ABOUT ILLEGAL immigrants (immigrants not having legal residency in the US)--they could be white- european, black, asian, latino, whatever. Quit putting comments with racial pride. We get it. but that's not the issue here!

AMERICANS should only cater to LEGAL permanent residents and citizens. These college funds (i.e., fafsa grants, cal grants) are from the sweat and blood of the many hard working legal residents/ citizen in America who actually pay taxes to the government.I too am an immigrant, but I am LEGAL. My family and I waited for 15 years for our petition to be approved and then entered America LEGALLY in 2000. We work hard here and pay taxes. We play by the rules, and so I think it is only reasonable that we (American residents and citizens) be rewarded.

These ILLEGAL jack*sses who long to get free ride to college should be given the finger from The Terminator himself and then have the government deport their sorry asses to the dumpster country he/she belongs. This is unfair and atrocious, let alone to the working class heros in America who are struggling to put their sons and daughters to college. However, if you are a bright illegal alien who has the potential of contributing to the American society (become a doctor, engineer, etc), why not apply for a scholarship, instead of digging from the pockets of the tax payers!

Posted by: STELLA CREEM on March 15, 2010 02:20 AM

US COLLEGE FUNDS should be for LEGAL RESIDENTS AND CITIZENS. PERIOD. It's not about race. It's about Americans who work hard, only to reward the cheaters who have cheated the government by not having proper documents. You guys are nuts.

Posted by: Joe on March 15, 2010 02:32 AM

Look to be honest. im gonna say this. I've lived here all my life. Seriously since I was 8 months old. the point is if this law passes or not, it doesnt make a difference. native born americans will still FAIL and be nothing but trash if they dont set their minds to work hard and accomplish their goals. there is no need to insult one another, we are forgetting the fact that we are all human. if we left our country it is because things were harsh and just wanted a better life. it doesnt matter who founded this country. the root is still the same, the british left due to dictating unfair treatment. we foreigners left for our countries for a better life. blacks were once seen as inferior and they lived here! it took about 100 years for them to be seen as human and vote! from 1776 to 1870(amendment 15) mexicans have been here for over 400 years :) yes "remember the Alamo" well any way those who remained here until immigrant laws began to pass were fortunate. immigration began in large amounts in 1920 and so increased till today 2010 roughly about 90 years. so now we as undocumented immigrants are seen as inferior. We cant work LEGALLY, we cant drive Legally. and sadly cant even attend college LEGALLY (we still do those things because its corrupt) people will always find loops and things to get around. ! i love you americans because I live in a nice neighborhood full of whites. we have parties together and dine together. you give me a nice house to sleep in. this nice computer to type into. good literature to read.good movies to watch nice teachers to teach me at school. a nice pay check that I work hard for. ILLEGALLY but most of all i love that we are such a big deal to you and we are all over the place. i love that you dedicate the time to fight against us. but you are going NOWHERE. we are still here 20 million of us. good luck getting rid of us. i hope you say hi to my fellow immigrant as he fixes your car, or mows your lawn, or cooks you delicacy. thank them for all that we doe for you at very MINIMUM cost :) and give your fellow white friend lying on the street, perhaps 3 dollars. just out of sympathy which im sure he works very HARD for. thank you. I LOVE YOU AMERICA!
