It is breaking right now that Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was just shot in the head at an event in the Tucson, Arizona area. 11 Others are being reported also shot in the attack. There is little word of the extent of the attack as of yet or her condition.

As I cover the illegal immigration angle of things I have little to say on the attack itself. I do however have a lot to say with the reporting being done right now. Fox News is reporting on how Gabrielle Giffords was a tough proponent on border security and illegal immigration. This reporting is slanted and false.

Gabrielle Giffords is no friend to those in the illegal immigration enforcement community. Her stance was for open borders, more illegal immigration and recently voted in favor of the DREAM Act. In 2007 she voted to cut border fence funding. Numbers USA gives her a career record of only a D+ on immigration. As she has recently been talking about fiscal discipline on all the talk shows, it should also be pointed out that she voted for the Bailout in 2008

Giffords's tough stance on the border began the day that rancher Rob Krentz was murdered on his ranch last year. After that murder Giffords was shown all over the news talking tough on border security. Her decisions up to that point contributed to the death of Rob Krentz and others who have been directly impacted by the illegal aliens she supported with her speeches and votes.

Rep Giffords is Rob and Sue Krentz's representative. After the death of Rob, Sue was struck by a car while coming out of church one day. Their family has been destroyed.

The question at this time is who shot Gabrielle Giffords? The news on Fox is making it sound like it could be someone in the illegal immigration community that made the attack. I would just like to point out that I would not be shocked if it was someone on the other side.

Then again it could be entirely unrelated to immigration at all. All I can do is tell you my outlook on the situation using my knowledge of her actions and stances over the years.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has been reported dead at this time.

It is sad.

My condolences to her husband and family. She was a military wife and I have the utmost respect for the spouses of our military members. Though I disagreed strongly with how she allowed our borders to remain unsecured and contributed to the deaths of American Citizens.

It is being reported that 5 others were killed in the shooting. What a travesty.

Reports from KOLD in Arizona say Giffords is not dead. She is in surgery.

The shooter has been identified as Jared lee Loughner. I have dug into this killer and done an analysis of his belief system and why I think he shot Congresswoman Giffords and others in Tucson today.
