Illegal Alien Supporters Oppose Drunk Driving Enforcement - Must Read Letter

Bookmark and Share

So this idiot out in California, Armando Navarro, a professor of "ethnic studies" at the University of Riverside, California, and also of the "Inland Valley Labor Action Network" sent out an all point bulletin regarding a city council meeting on whether to enforce drunk driving laws and use a grant to set up checkpoints to discourage drunk driving.

That city council meeting is tonight, Monday September 8, 2008 at 8PM. If you are in the area please join other pro-enforcement members of the community and other concerned citizens opposed to drunk driving, in standing up for what is right by showing up there:
Pomona City Council Chambers
505 South Garey Ave.
Pomona, CA

City Council member Cristina Carrizosa, who is running for mayor, is waging an aggressive campaign to stop traffic checkpoint in Pomona and has accused the cops of being Gestapo. There are expected to be crowds, so show up early (4:30ish).

Anyway, Armando Navarro says enforcing drunk driving laws will have too much of an impact on the community. In other words he's arguing in favor of drunk driving because enforcing the law may inconvenience illegal aliens. Below is the suggested letter he says that people should send to the city council.

For those who don't know, Armando Navarro was also the organizer of a march in Washington DC in February, 2006 against HR 4437, the Secure Fence Act.

Here is the suggested letter that Armando Navarro says should be sent to the city council:

I urge the City Council, and Mayor Norma Torres, to not accept the "DUI Enforcement and Awareness Program Grant" of the State of California Office of Traffic Safety for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. The manner in which the traffic checkpoints are carried out in the City of Pomona has created a state of concern and discontent in a substantially large portion of the Pomona Community. The checkpoints have fomented distrust and fear towards the police among many people. The checkpoints also negatively impact local businesses which depend on the patronage of families and individuals of modest economic resources. Thus, in this manner, the checkpoints are a grave threat to the stability of the local economy, and social harmony within the community, which includes not only the City of Pomona but the other neighboring cities as well.

So according to this reconquista the checkpoints are a "grave threat", yet drunk drivers are not?

I particularly like how he obfuscates who he is defending by referring to illegal aliens as "substantially large portion of the Pomona Community" and "many people" and "families and individuals of modest economic resources". Also included is the veiled threat that there will not be social harmony in the community if they pass this in the city council.

And below is a scathing statement from the Pomona Police Officers' Association (PPOA) after describing 4 incidents between August 15 and August 25, 2008 alone involving unlicensed and drunk drivers that involved the death of civilians and injuries to cops:

Some of these examples involve police officers, which just validates that anyone can be involved in serious traffic collisions involving drunk and unlicensed drivers and that Police Officers are not immune to these dangers.

With the recent verbal assaults by Councilperson Cristina Carrizosa, the unlicensed and DUI drivers are learning that the City of Pomona is becoming a safe haven.

Our PPOA members have always taken traffic safety very seriously and have taken a zero tolerance approach to all traffic laws.

Recently, Councilperson Cristina Carrizosa called the members of the Police Department "Gestapo's", liars, cheaters, and accused them of attempting a cover up regarding statistics.

With the recent injuries sustained by a police officer and the death of an innocent girl trying to cross the street, the Pomona Police Officers' Association cannot tolerate this any longer. We have remained steadfast in our support for this community and in the preservation of their safety. We have refrained from responding to Carrizosa's blatant, rude, accusatory, defamatory, slanderous remarks and accusations and have not wavered from our goals and mission of protecting the citizens of this community. Now that members of this community are being injured and killed we can no longer tolerate the continual attacks on our members that have divided the community and those who protect it.

President Phil Bozoich stated, "Councilperson Carrizosa has continued to attack the members of this Association and the loyal and dedicated employees of this City. I will not allow it to continue. She is not only creating a hostile work environment for the Police Department employees, but she is now the reason for causing injury to the people I represent and the citizens of this city that I protect."

Hooray for the Pomona Police Officer's Association and Robin Hvidston for standing up for the CITIZENS of Pomona. It seems California politics has been dominated by those who seek to subvert our laws and it's time that this stops. Please do not vote for any of these treasonous people who are protecting illegal alien lawbreakers in our communities. Show them that the majority of citizens do not like their racist, anti-American policies and keep them out of the political system!!

If Cristina Carrizosa wins as Mayor of Pomona, you can be assured that the community of Pomona will become an official reconquered portion of California for Mexico that favors and welcomes mass illegal immigration from Mexico.

This is how our country is slowly being taken over. Under the guise of the "poor people" who will be affected by enforcing the law so that all people are safe. Obviously she doesn't care about the residents of the community who belong there, but the outsiders who have invaded and do not.

I have never lived in a town where DUI checkpoints aren't the norm, especially on weekends and "heavy partying" holidays such as New Years.
Thousands of lives have been saved due to these checkpoints.
OB logic is obviously screwed up. Maybe legal Americans should just stay home and off the roads during checkpoints leaving no one but a bunch of drunk illegals to risk only their own lives...could help reduce their numbers.

This is California. Supporters of "Illegal's" here in the country, will not be satisfied until, it is a "Third World Country". You Americans think you have the right to live better than anyone else? Silly Gringo.........

Carrizosa is obviously more concerned about ILLEGALS being caught (in our country illegally while driving and drunk) than she is about the citizens of her city. So who in their right mind would elect her????? Maybe she should move to mexico - change her citizenship (if she is an American citizen) and run for office there! BYE carrizosa we will NOT miss you.

What an idiot! Maybe he should express those feelings to the parents of the three year old little boy who was killed by an ILLEGAL with multiple convictions on 9/8/08! The illegal rammed a truck which then crashed into a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop in Auroro, CO where this three yr old little boy was enjoying an ice cream. When will this madness stop?!? If something isn't done soon, there will be regular citizens taking things into their own hands. The do nothing gov't must start doing something! DEPORT THEM AS SOON AS THEY'RE ORDERED DEPORTED! NO RELEASES!!!

Police love checkpoints. Checkpoints belong in police states. I am sick of giving up liberty for "security".

I am sick of Liberal Scum, like CYRUS, whining and crying about a Police State, until they are scraping your family off the road. Cyrus, BITE ME!

Well the fact that the crazy people are screaming about police checkpoints is actually good news...it means we are starting to get the attention of the illegal alien vermin and their lackings and pimps like Cristina Carrizosa & Armando Navarro. These two child killer and child rapist rapist enablers are scum and deserve to be jailed.

The drunk driving campaign is one facet of law enforcement efforts in Otsego County conducted by the City Police, Gaylord MSP and Otsego County Sheriff’s Dept. to help ensure motorists have a safe Labor Day holiday while out on what are expected to be busy roadways this weekend.

I feel that you should not judge, becuase as there is illegals doing wrong, there are just as many us citizens that do alot of our bad crimes also so dont be so quick to judge theres good as well as bad!

Posted by: Looking at the other end on September 22, 2008 11:43 AM

The difference being that the illegal aliens are not supposed to be here...

Posted by: Digger on September 22, 2008 12:29 PM

I really dislike the term illegal aliens, but Digger, I see your point and have to side with you on this one.

Posted by: Car Accident Lawyer on October 17, 2009 10:10 PM

So if someone gets injured committing a crime, (regardless of citizenship) by your standards they should be be denied medical attention because they weren't supposed be there, correct?

Posted by: Rational Person on February 6, 2010 12:15 AM

There are upwards of 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. today. What America needs is far less political correctness and far more honest reporting as to how illegal immigration has contributed significantly to school overcrowding, traffic congestion, our health care crisis, environmental degradation, social tension, and other negative impacts upon our country.

This Armando character sure does have it backwards. Turn a blind eye to Drunk driving? what??? Wow...

Posted by: Gambling Lawyer on August 22, 2010 03:19 AM

Some people are unbelievible. Get a clue Cyrus, drinking and driving is against the law, the color of one's skin doesn't make a difference as to whether you should be allowed to drive DUI.
