Some Republicans in the audience at the RNC did what all other attendees were doing and making up their own signs. As I watched the convention on "Palin night" I saw signs that said "Viva McCain" and "Drill Baby Drill" and the like. However what I did notice that was totally absent was anything immigration related and now we know why.
In the video below some Republicans who put together a sign that said simply "Build the Fence" were instructed by a secret service agent to take their sign down "now!". When questioned why, the agent said he had simply received his instructions from the "Control Room".
This issue is being avoided like the plague by McCain for good reason. He clearly is still in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens and now he is striving as hard as he can to quiet the free expression of those opposed to illegal immigration and in favor of the border fence. Don't expect anything to change if he is elected.

The "sheeple" who voted for Juan McCain in the primaries are to blame! Had they actually done their homework before voting for McAmnesty, he wouldn't be the GOP nominee, Gov. Mitt Romney, who is strongly opposed to benefits or any kind of amnesty, would be! What to do? McCain has to be elected. Obama is far worse. At least McCain will feel the heat from GOP voters and his GOP colleagues who are mostly against it. Almost all the Democrats are FOR amnesty!

"The Control Room"'? Sounds like something out of Orwell or Huxley's Brave New World.Not too many years a not-too-untypical response to he SS agent would have been "I'm a US citizen and I don't answer to a f-king control room."
