I'm Boycotting CITGO And So Should You - I'm Also Boycotting The American Family Association

Citgo is owned by the government of Venezuela, i.e. Hugo Chavez

There's enough other choices out there that you shouldn't have to be passing all of your money to some asshat like him.

Sure, buying gas in general supports a bunch of terrorist supporting asses, but come on man you don't have to be giving it straight to them.

Its not even over "the devil" comment either, you people should know by now I'm not that religious. I've just been boycotting them for a few years already when I first found out the were owned by Venezuela.

Unfortunately this boycott seems to be credited to The American Family Association, the anti-fun Nazi's who are against porn, video games, TV, movies and every other fun thing there is in this world. They're almost as bad as people wanting women to wear burqas. (And no I'm not Rosie O'Donnell comparing them to terrorists, I'm comparing them to the "good" oppressive Muslims. I just like to have fun dammitt!). If it was up to them they'd ban Bambi because it's too violent. So, I'm calling for a boycott against The American Family Association as well.

"Sales of products at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our government," said American Family Association founder Don Wildmon in a statement.

"Regardless of your feelings about the war in Iraq, the issue here is that we have a socialist dictator vowing to bring down the government of the U.S. And he is using our money to achieve his goal!" warned Wildmon.

According to Citgo's website, the company is "owned by PDV America Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela."

On his website, Wildmon urges supporters to e-mail both Chavez and Citgo to announce their intention to boycott the company.

I'm puzzled by this really. No one down here buys gas from Citgo. It's assumed is of poor quality and always has been.

This is ironic. Boycott Citgo because their president called our president a name as if we're all five year olds. Meanwhile winking at Chevron whose subsidiary facilitated human rights abuses on the Burmese pipeline and other energy companies that get their oil from terrorist supporting nations.
