Diggers Realm Gets Farked (Update, Picked Up By National Review)

Bookmark and Share

I came home at 2AM EST from hanging out with my sister and her family. I haven't logged in today and decided to check my stats to see what's been going on this slow weekend. Talk about shocked! 6,000 hits an hour at 2-freakin-AM on a slow weekend according to Sitemeter!

Thinking that I'm under a DOS attack I check and see that they're all coming from FARK.

It turns out someone else liked my entry on Victoria Murphy enough to put up a post on her and it got approved.

Most of the people at FARK don't like Fox News, nor Victoria Murphy it seems. They prefer Melissa Theuriau of French news channel LCI.

What a weird occurrence. After such a slow month that was a big surprise.

Server seems to be holding up which is a good thing.

Update:

Seems I was linked by The National Review's The Corner as well. Cool!

Outstanding! Being farked is sometimes a good thing. However, they seem to love a picture of John Edwards on my site. Not a month goes by that that picture isn't in a Fark thread.

Yeah, it's cool, but most seem to come, look and leave.

I only allow a few domains to hotlink pictures from me. Conservative Thinking being one of them (and anywhere else I guest post). After finding so many hotlinked pictures around the web I had to put a stop to it.

BTW you dropped a "G" off your URL link above. I'll see if I can fix it.

Dear sir,

I believe I have commented here before, after finding this site via a Google Adsense ad at another blog [or perhaps I found another site via one of your Adsense ads, and commented there about that...]

Just a moment... It was the latter: See here and here... I just found that I blogged about this (and must have trackbacked to your 'Deep Throat' entry, which was linked to).

Anyway, I just noticed that that entry where I had commented was by the "Interested Participant" blogger (whose site I was also recently at, and posted comments saying that I thought he did well, with his coverage of a very-disturbing recent news item). I just saw that one of the entries where I posted that type of comment, re: Interested Participant's blogging, was a guest post by Mr. 'Participant' himself, while another (which I just linked to) was at the pertinent entry at 'EdWonk' - which is also listed on your sidebar, under "Knights of the Realm." I was thinking that perhaps those are the three bloggers who blog here, and that this is a group weblog... But I don't think that this is the case; they must be bloggers who pop in, when you're busy... (I might need a couple of guest bloggers, during the next few weeks... And I don't think I'm the only student blogger for this is the case! ;-)
Or are they now permanently blogging here?

Anyway, I wanted to thank you for your continued coverage of the illegal immigration issue, and of the other vital issues facing our nation. The design and formatting of this site is unique, and I am thinking that it is already on my blogroll... If not, it will be soon. I wanted to wish you good luck in the Wizbang! Weblog Awards contest, and have a great Thanksgiving weekend!!

Thanks Aakash! I hope you have a great weekend as well.

Mike of Interested-Participant and EdWonk of The Education Wonks do post here as guest authors. The Yolo Cowboy, not so much anymore. Mike also posts at other sites as well, including The Jawa Report.

They have their own blogs and take pride in them. I appreciate it greatly when they post here as it is very thought provoking, and yes it is usually when I get extremely busy.

I urge you to read their blogs as they cover quite a bit of interesting subject matter that is not covered here at 'The Realm'. Illegal Immigration is at the core of Diggers Realm and will continue to be for its existence.
