(Edmonds, Washington) Deported 10 times, a 46-year-old Mexican illegal, Jose Madrigal-Lopez, pleaded guilty yesterday to indecent exposure stemming from an incident last month when he was seen "standing, with his pants down, over a woman outside an Edmonds supermarket."
A charge of rape was not pursued since prosecutors concluded that the sexual contact may have been consensual.
Madrigal-Lopez was sentenced to 90 days with credit for time served for the indecent exposure charge in the Snohomish County Jail. He is now in federal custody.
On Thursday, Madrigal-Lopez appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge John Weinberg in Seattle on a new federal felony charge of illegal re-entry, which could land him in prison for 10 years.
Madrigal-Lopez has a long criminal record in the U.S. of mostly drug offenses, although he was convicted of theft of a firearm in California and unlawful sexual contact in Denver.
He was deported to Mexico 10 times between 1997 and 2004, but each time returned to the U.S., according to the court records.
It's hard to dispute the
contention that deportation of Mexican border jumpers appears to be a big waste of time and money.
If our immigration laws were enforced and were as stringent as Mexico's (a 2 year prison sentence for the 1st illegal entry) then we wouldn't have these low-lifes on our streets. They're being allowed to turn our country into a third world sewer. One third of illegals are repeat criminals and most are here without their women so they become openly and disgustingly sexual and will take advantage of anyone who is nearby. Since rape in Mexico is not considered a crime but "romantic attention" and women are looked at as chattel, our cultures differ vastly. All illegal need to be given 2 year prison sentences and all employers harshly fined and their licenses taken away for hiring illegals. Attrition would follow rapidly.
