Jessica Colotl has been held up by open borders and illegal alien supporters as some sort of poster child. She indeed is a poster child, of what is wrong with our system. She lied to police when they pulled her over for a traffic stop. Here is a quick run down from the Examiner on what happened.
Kennesaw State University (KSU) student Jessica Colotl was stopped by police for a traffic violation. She failed to provide a driver's license and instead presented the police with a Mexican driver's license and expired Mexican passport. During the process, it was discovered that Ms. Colotl was an illegal alien and, as a result, deportation proceedings had begun. At their discretion, ICE issued Ms. Colotl a one-year deferment (with conditions) to remain in the US. Upon her release, Cobb County issued an arrest warrant for her because she provided false information to the police.
D.A. King of the Dustin Inman Society points out that the Colotl story shows everything that is wrong with this country - and in the states - regarding illegal immigration enforcement.
This young lady has done more to illustrate the near complete disregard for immigration law in Georgia than any citizen protest rally or a thousand commentary columns.
The law is not written in some secret code or with ambiguous language. And, unless we are prepared to admit that there are groups of people for whom the rule of law does not apply, it must be equally enforced.
The issue is not whether or not illegal aliens are illegally getting in-state tuition rates in our public universities. They are. The issue is that illegal aliens are not supposed to even be in our post secondary education system. Period. At any tuition rate.
Post secondary education is a public benefit and is reserved for eligible applicants only.
Excuse me but why can't Americans speak up ? I'm tired of living in America and not have any rights. I work and pay taxes! Why do Illegal Immigrants demand to live here and not abide by our laws. I have car insurance and I obey the laws and when I speed I get a ticket. Illegal means illegal !!!!!! What is so hard to understand about living here and doing what other immigrants do to have citizenship. Most politicians want to be politically correct. Maybe if some illegal driver killed or injured a family member they would feel different. Enough is Enough! Obey the law or go back to Mexico and see how they punish law breakers.

I was hit by an illegal driver from Mexico and they just kept running. Probably back to Mexico. I had to pay my deductible and the police never followed through on locating the driver. ICE and other organizations only let them go so they can continue to brake the law. Illegal Immigrants only complain about the laws that all other Americans live by.
If you want to be an American then learn to live by our laws or return to Mexico and I'm sure you have a lot of opportunities there.

What has America come to????????????????? If illegal means illegal then arrest and deport! Why do we continue to allow anyone that doesn't want to obey our laws to live here and protest. It's time for all Americans to take a stand on illegals living here only to protest and break our laws. This young lady seems to think she can be educated here and ignore our laws. I think attorneys only want to represent them for their own financial gain. What if she had killed or injured someone in their family. I am an American and I obey the laws.

This young lady is here illegally and being educated and now wants to protest! I don't understand what right she has. We as Americans have the right to say illegal means you don't have any rights to come here and break the law. Common Sense tells you to live here and obey the law! Why do we have laws, TO PROTECT! I know Americans are tired of illegal immigrants complaining about laws we live by every day. Would it be OK to drive without a license and kill someone?

Are Americans the only ones that feel the need to obey the law? If you come here to live you don't have to obey the laws, right? If I go to Mexico and break a law there what happens? I don't believe any illegal should protest anything while living here illegally. We only have the politicians to blame. If one of their family members was killed by an illegal driver would they be sympathetic then?

Help me to understand this situation! This young lady thinks she can break the law and protest. If I break the law I pay. I'm a student and I know that I am not an exception to the rules or laws of my country. I hope she understands that the laws protect us. Why have laws? America is a great country and everyone should respect it. What is so hard to understand about living here and showing respect for our laws?
