After the Christmas Day terrorist attack on-board a flight to Detroit President Barack Obama came out and stated that they would be beefing up the air marshal service. While most would agree that this a great idea, the way that this administration intends to do so is by plundering other areas of law enforcement that protect this country. One of the first places they have decided is a good idea to weaken is along our southern border.
Word is coming in to me from sources in the Border Patrol that they have been receiving calls urging them to join the air marshal service. The job promises higher wages, but comes with mind numbing requirements of hours and hours of sitting on flights. The air marshal service is so overtaxed that most agents bail out soon after joining, yet they retain the higher pay of their new government rate.
Sources in the Border Patrol tell me that agents that have come back and are accepted are some of the most highly paid border agents around, making more than some of their superiors.
Our already weak southern border, and lack of support it receives from the top down, is just waiting to be further exploited by terrorists, illegal aliens and the infamous bloody drug cartel violence occurring in Mexico. It is quite obvious that this administration and previous ones do not comprehend actual security. By weakening one segment of national defense to enhance another you are simply creating an opening that is sure to be exploited.
