'Hispanics' A Little Annoyed Sotomayor Is Puerto Rican

Bookmark and Share

All Whites are the same, all Blacks are the same, all Asians are the same and all Hispanics are the same right?

I mean after all the French, Germans, English and Russians have always gotten along. The Japanese, Chinese and Koreans have always gotten along. Don't even get me started on Africa in-fighting and American Black's views on Africans who come to America. Then there's the little secret of the 'Hispanics'.

Groups that play off the word like La Raza claim they represent all 'Hispanics', a group that seems to encompass all Latino elasticities. Nothing could be further from the truth though. Do Cubans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and Brazilians all march in lockstep? Do they all have the exact same cultures, beliefs and all love each other? Hah!

They have tried to brainwash - and succeeded in some cases that there is group of Hispanic voters who all live, breath and vote the same. However let us use just a little common sense. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Just as those nasty "white supremacists" who claim to be in it for the so-called "white race", once gaining power would start pointing to other whites and saying "You're Jewish, not quite white enough so you're out" and "You're Italian, not quite white enough according to our 'whiteness' test", so goes the Hispanic groups. Trust me this is true as I recently have been accused of being a Jew - or at the very least a Jewish conspirator - because I call for equality for all races in America (i.e. equal playing field, no affirmative action, no race based caucuses like the Black and Hispanic caucuses. To the white supremacists, this is heresy).

This is exactly what I have been warning about for years. These "race based groups" want you to work with them until they're in charge, then one day you too will be one deemed unfit to be a part of their group. It's pure racism and it can be seen in the statement by Raul Yzaguirre, the former president of La Raza.

Now Mexicans within the 'Hispanic community' are upset that Supreme Court Nominee Sonia Sotomayor is not quite Hispanic enough... she's only Puerto Rican.

Arizona Republic

Latinos are taking a careful look at her nomination.

Sotomayor, who is of Puerto Rican descent, grew up in a New York housing project before attending Princeton University and Yale Law School.

Many Latinos are elated that Obama has nominated a Hispanic, and they relate to her story of success from humble beginnings.

But some would have preferred to see Obama nominate a Mexican-American considering that they make up 70 percent of the nation's 47 million Latinos.

"The argument could be made for (a Mexican-American nominee)," said Raul Yzaguirre, former head of the National Council of La Raza, one of the nation's largest Hispanic civil-rights organization ... "I want unity, so I am more inclined to overlook those things and say, 'Let's work together.' "

Let me translate that... "Let's work together as Hispanics until the Mexicans are charge, then you fake-Hispanic Puerto Ricans can take a hike".

Mexican immigrants and their families - and a lot of other elasticities from south of the border - see Puerto Ricans as "fake Hispanics" because as a Puerto Rican they are American by birth. According to these "true" immigrants, Puerto Ricans haven't had the struggle that they have had. Just as White Supremacists don't see Jews as white, these people don't truly see Puerto Ricans as 'Hispanic'. I think it's safe to say they see Puerto Ricans as the "Jews of the Hispanic community".

Ahhh..the old attempt to divide and conquer.
There was nothing too explicit in that article, you're just playing on a couple of excerpts trying to make a mountain out of an anthill.

I'm Chicano(Mexican-American) and I am very happy there's going to be a Hispanic Justice. Even if she is Puerto Rican, I'm sure she's just as qualified as any Mexican-American or Cuban-American, or whatever to be a justice.

"La Raza" isn't a conspiracy, conspiracy nuts. It just means the community. True, the Puerto Rican and Mexican communities are two different ones. But we are put under the umbrella term of Hispanic/Latino, so we are just as happy to have a Puerto Rican justice.

Also it's not supposed to be OUR justice, as in for Latinos. It's OUR justice for all Americans. Get over her race already. This has nothing to do with immigration, and is just part of the growing resentment and hate of Hispanics.

What does this have to do with immigration anyway? This post is making it a race issue, and is just some more Mexican-bashing. Can't wait to see it spread all over the internet by the ignorant types.

GO BORICUAS!

It's ideology, not race. If it was race, US Senate would have approved Bush nominees Miguel Estrada & Alberto Gonzalez. Obamarxist picked Sotomanure because she's a fellow Marxist - a "useful idiot."
Well, could have been worse - Obomba could have picked Jewish activist Elena Kagan.

I'm another Mexican-American who is happy to see a Puerto Rican woman in this position. Why are you trying to fake an animosity between us and other Hispanics?
Why would see them as "fake Hispanics"? This irresponsible so-called journalism.

And besides, you only showed one comment that wasn't even that bad. Most of your proof of the animosity between us Latinos and Latinas are YOUR OWN WORDS. Why are you saying this is you aren't anti-Mexican?

Jews don't see themselves as white. Jews see themselves as Jewish, i.e. a separate ethnicity.

Mary, it's not journalism. The tactic is to take the acts or statements made by a few and project it onto the entire population. A very few have expressed a wish that a Mexican-American were chosen for the SCOTUS. Despite the fact that the vast majority don't really care that much, Digger takes the statements by the few and uses them to try to show that the entire group thinks like the few.

He does the same with crime. He searches near and far for any Hispanic who commits a murder or uses a fake bus pass. Then he puts it on his blog. It's an intent to create an impression about an entire group based on the actions of a few.

Your right, the Puerto Ricans have many among them who are infact, CRYPTO JEWS. There said to be decedents of the Tibe of Ephraim. Don't believe me? Google it yourself. Then ask yourself, why would they hide these Jewish People in Puerto Rico! Hint? Holy Grail.

"Mexican immigrants and their families - and a lot of other elasticities from south of the border - see Puerto Ricans as "fake Hispanics" because as a Puerto Rican they are American by birth. "

OK....ummmm...

So if immigration reform happens...and they become American citizens...they're "fake" too, right?

I mean..why would the fuck would people want American citizenship and yet slam other hispanics for being American citizens?

Kinda hater-ish...and in the words of Mexi-God...George Lopez... "mas puto"

PS
Puerto Ricans run this shit on the east coast and Florida, son. But I still got ya back when it comes to bringing down Arizona's SB1070 racism
