I'm about sick of the media's attempts to make Michelle Obama out to be some world trend setter or some overly attractive woman. I find her fashion sense unappealing to her body shape and size and I don't particularly find her attractive in any way. There it has been said. Something that it seems many are afraid to state openly for fear of being called a racist. As with immigration, this as well has nothing to do with race and everything to do with lies.
I'm not usually one to denigrate someone based on their looks, but I've had about enough of this bullshit about how gorgeous Michelle Obama is and the truth must be spoken. I won't go as far as saying "You can put lipstick on a pig...", but you can do a "glamor shot" of anyone after spending 3 hours putting makeup on them and portray them as something they are not. I believe this "false face" mentality is part of why this country is falling apart.
The Real Michelle Obama Before The Media Dolled Her Up
Why am I wasting time on this? Yes, there are more important things going on that I should be discussing, but the question begs to be asked, "If they are willing to lie and paint over something as basic as someones appearance and dress, what important things are they lying and painting over?" The media is so enthralled with selling more magazines that they have created a monster that gullible people want to find out more about. Only, if truth be told, there is nothing to see.
And might I remind everyone that Michelle Obama was not elected, yet the media covers and encourages her to stick her nose into things she knows nothing about and things the American people didn't ask her to stick her nose in.

While I don't find her physically disgusting, she's no more attractive than any other woman you might see everyday. However the media is trying to portray her as some kind of goddess. They are using the Big Lie tactic, which I have discovered are described in Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler (and others noted below long before Hitler) as follows:

When it comes to Michelle Obama, I couldn't agree more. All the talk of her as some celebrity is sickening. It is a colossal lie that is so large that people can't believe the media have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. To you all I say, don't be a dumbass.

Michelle Obama has about as much style as I have in my pinky finger. After her (hopefully short) stint posing as the wife of a President, perhaps she can launch her own line of clothing with the Salvation Army! This woman has the ability to make all clothing look like a sack of potatoes.
Every time I see her being glorified on some magazine cover I just want to PUKE. The people perpetrating this just HAVE to be laughing behind the camera at their little joke on the sheeple. I'd just love to be a fly on the wall in Oprah's house - "that beatch don't got nothing on me.. just cuz she's tall don't make her special. Who does she think she is?" I just love that Michelle is now upstaging Oprah - it's the battle of the O's.. muahahahah... and Oprah helped get her husband elected to boot!
One thing the makeup artists and the airbrushers can't seem to fix is that old hunchback of Michelle's... maybe she got that from looking down on the little people all her life..
Oh.. and funny how Michelle so WILLINGLY is leaving her blackness behind - with her appearance attempting to morph her into Jackie O.. Compare her look now to how she looked when she first met Barry - above.. They look like a black couple there.. Now.. they look as white as they can get - Barry even shaving his FRO nice and short. But outside appearances are VERY deceiving. Inside the Obamas are as black as night.. right down to their hearts.

This all gives the glorified color of hatred, bigotry, and racism. That's right I said it. You are NO authority on beauty or looks. Nothing positive ever evolves from this site. We read it to complete our thesis and research. First of all those who compare her to Jackie Kennedy are totally lost. In my opinion Jackie as her daughter Caroline was in no way a pretty woman. Just somewhat a trendsetter. As for Michelle she looks just as good if not better than Madonna or any of the other blonde hair blue eyed women when not wearing make up. In fact I think she looks a heck of a lot better. Your problem centers around the Black aesthetic. You just can not find beauty in any one Black, I mean a totally Black woman and not a Halle Berry or Mariah. Personally, I don't think any of the white women deemed beautiful are in ANY way, shape form or fashion a model of beauty. It's about the melanin stupid. That is what makes us beautiful whether you like or accept it. We don't care. We are unigue in all of our ways down to our black bottoms the most fascinating part of our anatomy. It is the "Black Mystique" that many refer to as "Black Magic", something that NO white person could or would understand. Queen Mum saw it, understood it, and decided to grasp it. If whites could politicize melanin they would bottle and market it but thank God you can't. The best offer you pale faces have is the tanning salon and hours in the sun that causes you to look ridiculous. You want what God has given us. As for her gorgeous figure particulary her arms and bottom...envious characteristics of every white woman,... particularly the bottom. Our men and yours LOVE our big bottoms and our creamy cocoa skin. She is a gorgeous woman and I love the fact that she represents the real working class educated American woman. First, of all I think Spears is a hag along with all the other fake women they try to shove down our throats... Black, White, Hispanic or Asian, it doesn't matter.
Second, there is a big difference. With entertainment you have a choice. When you are watching the "real" news to find out what is happening to your country and the world it should be appalling to anyone that they would set aside 10 minutes of a 30 minute newscast to push how gorgeous this manufactured faker is.
It disgusts me and should disgust you as well. Most people would find it sickening if the news focused so much time on pushing advertising for 10 minutes every night for some singer and they should find it appalling that they would push advertising for the White House propaganda machine as well.

I couldn't agree with you more, Digger. The only reason I have an opinion on Ms. Obama is because I'm so baffled by the glamour circuit's inappropriate attention to her.
I find her an average to above average looking 40-something woman. She has an intelligent look that makes her somewhat attractive, I guess. Attractive in the sense that I could see her in a commercial promoting life insurance or some other "responsible adult" type product. Maybe playing the role of a successful, respected lawyer on a tele-drama. I could not see her selling a glamour product, sexualizing some otherwise mundane product (like beer, chips, etc), playing the role of a forbidden love interest in a film, etc.
But, that is *exactly* what we're suppose to believe. That she's gorgeous, sexy, etc. She's not. And, to suggest this is because of some inherent racial bias is even more absurd than the claim that she is these things. Is this how far political correctness has come? That you can't comment on something so simple as beauty without being called a racist?
Or, has our language just become this diluted?
I don't even know why I'm stooping to this, but I recently saw an Angela Basset movie (Supernova). The movie sucked, but boy is she gorgeous. Now, if the media is going to call Ms. Obama beautiful, gorgeous, etc, what words shall we use to describe truly beautiful women, like Basset, Aissa Maiga, Sanaa Lathan, et al?
It's so preposterous. I would bet that if a nice photo of her, circa 2005 (before they were well known), was circulated and people were asked to vote on her beauty, she'd get an "average" score...because she's average looking. I'd say in the same league as Laura Bush.

I couldnt agree more with these comments. No, Michelle Obama is not plug ugly, but neither is she really attractive. Makeup and a stylist have done wonders for her appearance the last year. But to call her 'beautiful" or "striking" or "glamorous" or any of the other terms that have been lavished on her is ludicrous. And this has NOTHING to do with European vs. African standards of beauty (and thus is NOT racist).
Her fashion sense is really hit or miss and here again the media has constructed this imaginary fashion pantheon in which Michelle Obama alone resides. The cardigan sweater to meet the Queen, the ugly $500 Lanvin sneakers worn to feed the homeless, the outfit in London that made her look like a human pinata, and of course the ugly and unflattering shorts-and-tank-top outfit while on vacation all must be stacked up against the admittedly striking outfits she has worn on other occasions.
Let's just put some honesty in our writings about Michelle instead of blindly following the media-fueled adulation.

I don't think that God has bestowed some form greatness upon the black woman, If it were so the men would be chasing them only (and you know that they don't) There are many beautiful women in the world of ALL races not only one!
However with that being said,I myself and everyone that I know doesn't feel that Michelle Obama is one of them. Even celebrities and actresses are made up for hours and photoshopped. And I for one think Michelle Obama is a very attractive woman. If those were the ugliest pictures you could find of her and you still wasted your time writing this article then I suggest you look for pictures of any celebrity or model without makeup on, you will find much worse. its not so much that she is the most beautiful woman in the world... its just that she exudes a sense of sexiness, confidence and self assuredness. She dresses conservatively and classy, but still manages to pull of “sexy”. Sexy is not necessarily beautiful, but more of an aura of a person. To each his own, but I for one find those thick sexy thighs and perfectly proportioned waistline to beautifully shaped backend, particularly refreshing and “SEXY”… then again I am black and prefer this to a skinny woman with no curves … to each his own… btw digger… you could have made your point without the Lenin and Hitler references… I mean seriously next to that the only other relevant group would have been the KKK… that did give it a racial undertone… kinda like me referencing the Black Panther party when trying to make a point about white women … Im just sayin….
