Ignacio Ramos Released From Prison!!

Bookmark and Share

Ignacio Ramos
Border Patrol Agent Ignacio Ramos was released from prison at 8AM this morning word comes from Ignacio's father-in-law Joe Loya!

The elation I feel for the family and Ignacio really cannot be put into words.

There is no word on the release of Jose Compean right now.

Ignacio is under a gag order and cannot speak to the press - this will probably remain until March 20, 2009. Both Ramos and Compean's sentences were commuted by President Bush on the last day of his presidency, Feb 19, 2009.

Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck will be conducting interviews tonight with the Ramos family.

I cannot even imagine what "Nacho" is going through right now having been locked up for so long in solitary, but I remember after being on a ship for a month and returning home that entering your house feels like an alien environment. As if you don't really fit in or belong. It is probably 10 times or 100 times over of a feeling for him as he is moving to a totally new place.

I don't know what else to say except that it is a happy day!

Thanks to Reader Robin for the tip. Her tireless efforts on behalf of the agents should be celebrated as well.

GOngrats Mr. Ramos!

It's pathetic that these to men were not pardoned.
Because of that, they will still be felons, and may have a very rough time recouping the enormous amounts of money, spent on their defense.
If I'm not mistaken, they cannot profit from their "Crimes."

Shame on the United States Government, and President Bush.

Why is it a shame that they weren't pardoned?! Maybe their punishment was a little harsh but there needs to be justice. They got what they deserved. Why did they cover up their "heroic" action?

It is ALWAYS heroic to defend America, even if that means a scumbag illegal alien drug smuggler gets a bullet in his ass. Quite frankly, I think they should have aimed higher and got him where it counts, to prevent him from ever bringing his load into the US again. The agents are celebrated heroes, which would explain why they were given so money from the American people. Go ahead, call me racist (dumbass, Ramos and Compean are both clearly of a non-white heritage)

Anyway, when I read the news that these men were finally released, I started crying tears of happiness - not good, since I was at work ;)
God bless them both and their families!
