Mayor of the Year by the Pennsylvania State Mayors Association. Barletta led the charge for
Hazleton, PA against illegal immigration.
Congrats Lou! I wish he was my personal mayor and that anywhere I ever moved he would be put in as mayor of that town or city. America would be a better place.

The mayor of Hazleton, Pa., who drew nationwide attention for his crackdown on illegal immigration, has been named the state's Mayor of the Year.
Pennsylvania State Mayors Association gave Lou Barletta the honor Saturday. Group officials cited his illegal immigrant crackdown and his hands-on method of combating crime.
In 2006, the Hazleton City Council had approved a law that would deny business permits to companies that employ illegal immigrants, fine landlords who rent to them and require tenants to register and pay for a rental permit.
So a bunch of Mayors got together and voted their buddy, Lou Barletta, as "Mayor of the Year". That's like a bunch of idiots getting together and deciding who is the best idiot.
The truth of the matter is that Lou Barletta is a joke of a leader. He has accomplished, um, nothing. His vaunted "Illegal Immigration Relief Act" was shot down as being unconstitutional. His campaign is nearly broke. The Republican leadership is ignoring him.
Lou Barletta should not be elected to the United States Congress.

So, if I'm the only one who doesn't like Lou Barletta, why can't he raise any money? He is JUST NOW able to pay off all the debt he built up from the last time he ran this same election...and lost.
According to the latest FEC numbers, Barletta has only a few thousand dollars more than he had debt. Compare this with his opponent, who has over $2,000,000 in cash and no debt.
The fact of the matter is that almost all of Lou Barletta's money has come from people in Hazleton. Outside of Hazleton, he has raised very little. That's not my opinion, that's FEC numbers, submitted by the Barletta campaign.
Lou Barletta is a loser.

Dan is a little special. I can only assume Lou ran over his puppy when he was a little kid because the kind of nonsensical frothing hatred he has for Lou can only come from a personal grudge without diving headlong into sheer insanity.
He is either a terrible DCCC straw man or a complete nutter with too much free time on his hands.
