Joe Turner, the founder of Save Our State, is running for City Clerk of San Bernardino, California. Joe is a great guy. I met him in Washington D.C. in April, 2007 at the Hold Their Feet to the Fire event and have been covering Save Our State almost since its inception (you can see my archive here)
Joe is going to need all of the help he can get, including donations.
What does the City Clerk do? They are responsible for licensing all businesses within the city, including rental units.
Many of you might not know this, but Joe Turner was actually one of the authors of legislation that was picked up across the country regarding denying business licenses and rental approval for businesses that hire - and landlords who rent to - illegal aliens. The most famous of the towns that implemented this legislation and ordinance is Hazleton, Pennsylvania. So you can bet your bottom dollar that if Joe Turner is elected as City Clerk in San Bernardino that there are going to be some major changes coming.
