There was no victory or sense of winning in President Bush's press conference June 12, 2007 after meeting with GOP Senators and trying to convince them to vote for cloture on the Senate Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill (S.1348). He mentioned every other topic he could think of before getting to immigration and his demeanor while discussing the issue shows that he probably didn't convince anyone to switch their position.

I think this bill is finally dead. As it should be.
