Senate Votes 69 To 23 For Cloture On Immigration Bill S.1348

Bookmark and Share

Yes, I watched the cloture vote on CSPAN, so you wouldn't have to. The Senate Immigration bill S.1348 passed cloture with a vote of 69 to 23 with 8 cowards not even showing up for the vote. Isn't it curious how Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Johnson, Kerry, McCain, Nelson and Obama care so little about this issue that they wouldn't even show up to vote on it. Some of those are obvious yea votes, but if you care so much about becoming president then you should have been in the Senate chamber for this vote, or are you trying to hide something?

The little debating portion on whether cloture should be voted on was boring and un-American by all involved pushing for a yes on cloture vote. It was the same tired argument that we owe these illegal aliens something rather than looking out for the American people first.

There was a hilarious point with Senator Byrd reprimanding all the Senators for standing in the well while voting was going on and he even went as far as giving them all a lecture on how they are supposed to remain in their seats. I was laughing because these Senators were like little kids who couldn't seem to follow directions as they had to be repeatedly told to move out of the well so the vote could continue instead of standing around chit chatting. It really is a disgrace that they can't follow simple directions while a vote is going on.

The way this bill is being rammed through the Senate is really sickening as well. Normally a cloture occurs after debate has occurred, but those supporting this are so scared and the legislation is so undefined that they have decided to vote on cloture and then go to debate in hopes of hiding something.

One good thing that came out of it though is that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid capitulated on adding an extra week for examination of the bill when he initially wanted it all completed within a week. It's still a short time frame for such a large complex and - in the end - unenforceable and unworkable bill that most Americans will be outraged at, but at least now we'll have more time to expose the absolute ignorance of the bill.

Now time to look at the traitors who voted Yea on cloture of this amnesty bill. They all need to get a good earful from you. You can reach the Capitol switchboard at: 202-224-3121

Are you serious? I mean come on, the people that voted nay for the bill essentially voted that English not be the National Language. That is traitorous! President Abraham Lincoln said: "Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled or Hanged!!!"
