Kiran Chetry is rumored to be replacing Soledad O'Brien as the host on CNN's morning show American Morning. The rumor is that the change will occur in two to three weeks.

It seems like Kiran's dispute with Fox News - and the subsequent lightning move to CNN within days - has paid off. Fox News should have given Kiran the seat vacated by E.D. Hill on Fox & Friends and now they will pay for it by having to compete head to head with Chetry.

Fox & Friends has continued to spiral downward in my opinion. Gretchen Carlson was a poor replacement for E.D. who has no real appeal or personality. It's like listening to your older next door neighbor's wife for hours on end who has nothing at all to say and no charisma to attract you.

Love them or hate them at least Allyson Camerota and Kiran Chetry have enough of an aura and playfulness that makes you pay attention and they interject little personal notes that add to a morning show that is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. Like when Kiran dressed as Lara Croft and Allyson dressed as Heidi Klum. Or Kiran jumping around on a pogo stick.

I hope Kiran helps CNN kick Fox's ass in the morning, but then the rumor is that she will be doing the show with straight laced John Roberts who is about as enjoyable as watching a tree grow. Roberts will replace Miles O'Brien.
