Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos was assaulted in prison over the weekend by several individuals after lights out. Ramos was being held in the General Population of the prison, a recipe for disaster for a former federal agent. The assault occurred after a story aired on America's Most Wanted that centered around Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean for shooting an illegal alien drug smuggler in the buttocks after leaving a million dollar load of Marijuana and fleeing back across the Mexican border.

“Nacho was assaulted Saturday night around 2200 by about five illegal immigrants. He has multiple and severe injuries. They put him in isolation for now, he has not been allowed to see a doctor since Saturday. They were yelling at him in Spanish, “Maten a la migra!” which means “Kill the Border Patrol agent.”

This is absolutely outrageous. This assault hangs clearly over the heads of prosecutor Johnny Sutton, President Bush (who has sat on his hands and watched this travesty of justice occur) and the warden of the prison for putting agent Ramos in harms way.
