I recently received an email from a frustrated reader in California who has noticed a trend of favoritism for Hispanics in the workplace. He's asked what he can do about actually fighting illegal immigration.
I have personally watched this happen myself as my wife was discriminated against and saw newly hired (and underqualified) Hispanics at her workplace being promoted in front of her by a Hispanic manager. She was at that job for years and I know she is a hard worker and knew the ins and outs. She was in line to move up when her supervisor took a different position and was replaced by a Hispanic supervisor. He quickly told her she wouldn't be getting the position she was in line for and then picked a Hispanic guy who had been there about a month to take the position.
She refused to file a discrimination lawsuit no matter how many times I badgered her to.

Why hasn't the border patrol set up shop in Golden Acres to apprehend them? Only in America can an illegal get a job with a stolen identity, and an American get fired for being against those illegals! This country has gone to hell in a handbasket, and you know why? Because nice guys finish last. That's why. When will we stop asking what can be done, and just do it? Let me know, I am SO ready.
My reply is below:
Hi k.c.
There is stuff that can actually be done. First of all go to http://www.minutemanhq.com/ and look at the Minuteman Project. Sure, they watch the border voluntarily, but they are also involved in setting up protests and investigating businesses that hire illegal aliens. You can also check out http://www.saveourstate.org/ Save Our State is located in California and headed up by Joe Turner. They have held many rallies [see some Diggers Realm coverage of Save Our State] and protests in all parts of California and introduced petitions and bills fighting illegal immigration in California.
There are groups out there fighting about this issue, but they need more help. A lot of people are against illegal immigration (recent polls show nearly 80% of Americans are against illegal immigration), but the fact is that not enough Americans are actually standing up and doing something about it.
I hope this helps.

I had the same thing happen years ago in California. There is little you can do other than to get our government to actually do their job and keep these people out of the country in the first place.
Even if you did get a form of ID the likelihood it was fraudulent would be high.
You're not alone. This happens every day across our country and nobody is doing a thing about it.
