Mexico's Foreign Secretary, Luis Ernesto Derbez, Says May Take Secure Borders Act To UN

Bookmark and Share

This is simply laughable and thus it is listed under the humor category. The Mexican Foreign Secretary, Luis Ernesto Derbez, says that Mexico may go complain to the UN about our plans to build a fence along our southern border, on our land and using our money. While it is simply ludicrous, it shows what lengths Mexico will go to in order to continue allowing the massive flow of illegal aliens into our country. There is simply no other reason that Mexico would want to take us to the UN.

This is a wake up call to all of you out there who think that this illegal alien invasion is not happening and not directly being conducted by the Mexican government. Not only will they try and set the international community on us in order to continue defrauding the taxpayers of America and taking over our country, but they actively meddle in our political system through lobbies and making sure that candidates who support illegal immigration -- and a favoritism of Mexico over America -- get elected.

AP

Luis Ernesto Derbez told reporters in Paris, his first stop on a European tour, that a legal investigation was under way to determine whether Mexico has a case.

...

President-elect Felipe Calderon also denounced the plan, but said it was a bilateral issue that should not be put before the international community.

Look, there's nothing bilateral about this fence. It is a decision made by our leaders at the demands of the American people. Mexico should have absolutely no say in our national security or our immigration system. If we decided to close the borders 100% and stop all immigration, it is our decision, not a bilateral decision between Mexico and the United States.

This statement by the President-elect shows that the continued encouragement of breaking our laws by Mexican foreign nationals will continue for the foreseeable future unless we do something.

[Derbez] said he discussed the issue with [French Foreign Minister] Douste-Blazy, and planned to bring it up in meetings with his Spanish and Italian counterparts during visits to Madrid and Rome. He vowed to work on the case until the "very last day" of President Vicente Fox's term, which ends Dec. 1.

If any of these Foreign Ministers says word one to us on our plans to build a border fence we should immediately impose some sort of punishment on them. Something along the lines of an immediate limitation on the number of legal immigrants and visa's issued to people from their country.

I'm pretty fed up with other countries sticking their noses into our domestic issues here at home. Stay the hell out of voters wishes. We are more than generous with all of these countries around the world and all we continue to receive is constant whining and stabbing in the back.

Enough already!

I don't support mexico challenging US for building a fence. Nobody should interfere when it comes to security. But your statement that nobody should interfere when you decide on a issue is hypocritical. US puts its finger in lot of other countries policies. Many of these are against the wishes of their countrymen. When you are living in a society, you need to be mindful of your neighbours

UMMM,,,,,,,,haven't they been threatning the U.N. thing for ~like two weeks already?
Just go up there and slap a U.N. resolution on us. If we were like the rest of the world,,,,,,,,,,,oh- wait, we're America, the ONLY country in the world that would abide by a U.N. resolution.

A number of the EU countries are building their own fences. It is possible what we are seeing is a dose of envy. The Mexicans don't have enough money to do the same on their southern border.

The United States has been "sticking their noses into our domestic issues" here in Canada for at least as long as I have been alive. You cannot expect us to refrain from interfering with the policies of the United States when the United States' policy is to interfere with us. I'm sure the same is true for most other countries on earth. I would LOVE a sovereign and independent United States, but it's a two way street. As long as your politicians continue to violate my country's sovereignty, you can bet we will do everything in our power to influence the political process in the United States.
