The rumor mill is saying that ABC has picked up Heather Nauert from Fox News. Heather was often seen on The Big Story with John Gibson. There seems to be some truth to it as it is mentioned in a one line blurb in the NY Daily News.
Her bio is also missing from the Fox News Website.
I haven't found any reasons on why she left anywhere. Heather got remarried recently in mid-March, which may be a reason. Other ideas floating around are that Roger Ailes told her she'd have to put in 10 years before she'd get her own show. Whatever the reason I'll miss seeing her perky little nose once in a while on the tube.

Update: (May 8 12AM PST)
OK, there is no proof that Heather got remarried in mid-March. I was hunting around so much for information that I mistook that as a fact. I seem to have picked it up from Heather Nauerts Yahoo Fan Club when I was crusing around about 30 websites for information. You may want to check out her Yahoo Fan Club. If Ailes thinks she needs ten years to mature professionally, she must not be a real fast learner. He probably told her that so she would move on to another job.

I posted that she got re-married back in mid-March in the Heather Nauert yahoo club. If that's where you heard that she had remarried, sorry. I had thought she did, because she was gone for so long. If you heard if elsewhere, please let me know. She only wore a ring on her wedding finger once, and it was partially covered, so it could have been anything, actually. Possibly it was the butt of a pen that i saw. As I said, it was partially covered. Anyway, she hasn't worn a ring that I actually saw for way over a year. Post a link if you have one about her remarrying. Thanks and sorry for the confusion, if you got that info from me.

Hey all,
I saw you were talking about Heather Nauert, so I decided to give you an update, but it's not much. ABC has actually not put her in their correspondents listings as of May 07. The guy there told me that it usually takes between 2-3 weeks for that. Since her last broadcast was April 29, 2005, she probably won't be on ABC before the end of May. Not only that, but she might not even be on a national show, which would really suck! She's my fav news anchor. Hopefully, they'll use her brains to inspire more people to watch the Stephanopoulus show on Sunday. Best wish is that she gets her own show, since I can't believe she would leave Fox as a correspondent just so she could be a correspondent elsewhere, especially, when she had a slot just for her on The Big Story. If anyone else gets any info on her at all, post it. Thanks

BTW, I did speak with Fox News Producer Jonathan Wechtel who went to Sudan with Heather. One person on a site said that he is/ was/ still is/ whatever, her boyfriend. Anyway, he definately confirmed that she is no longer with Fox. He declined to say where she was, because as he put it, "I'm not in the position to dole out information." He sent me to the viewerservices@foxnews.com. However, i went there last Sunday, when I heard about Heather leaving Fox. Sent them an email, but they never responded. Heather's Fox email address is Heather.Nauert@Foxnews.com. I sent her two messages, but no response. Not surprising, because if she is gone, she won't respond. lol. However, i didn't receieve any notices that the email had been closed. I sent a message to myword@foxnews.com as well as to John.Gibson@foxnews.com on friday. So far, nothing. BTW, if you want to email someone at Fox news, just put a . between their first and last name and add @foxnews.com. They probably won't respond, unless you ask for a picture. I heard Kiran Chetry wanted to chat with her fans in her Yahoo club, so she asked the Fox legal dept. if she could and they advised her against it. Anyway, sorry about the length of this, just thought you guys would like to know. Peace

Heather Nauert is anchoring a show on ABCNewsNows. It is the internet ABC News On Demand. So, you have to pay if you want to see her now. Too bad. Maybe one day she'll make it back to national television. I can't actually think of something that would have been a worse decision for her. I doubt that many people even tune in to the internet for video news. Anyway, I called them and they said she anchored a show yesterday. He wasn't sure if she would be anchoring one today. To those who get abc news now, have fun. The strange thing is, the abc switchboard operator has a listing of everyone who works for abc news, and heather is still not in there, something the operator felt was odd as well. Anyway, i get the feeling, heather jumped from john gibson's show right into abc's dark little closet. not many people are going to see her on the internet. too bad, especially for someone who had said she had wanted to be on tv ever since she was 16! Oh well, here's hoping one day the abc execs will bump her back to tv land instead of internet. Until then, Good bye Heather
