This sounds like a horrible idea. Not that I don't like the Transformers, but I think it would end up something along the lines of "The Hulk". They would focus so much of the budget on the CGI that the movie itself would be of really poor quality.
Not to mention that CNN reports the director would be Michael Bay who has done such movies as the two "Bad Boys" movies, "Pearl Harbor", "Armageddon" and "The Rock". The release date would be sometime around November, 2006.

can not wait for the transformers movie and i to hope it has a good story line to it, and is it based on the 80s cartoon and not on the cartoons today, hope they do a good job on it.
