I have acquired further exclusive photos of the Pearcy home and the types of freedom of speech they are using. Yesterday I posted some exclusive photos of the Pearcy's car that had some vulgar statements that seemed anarchist in nature including slogans against the government and the police. Today I have some exclusive photos from a reader of the Pearcy home prior to the incidents (see here and here) involving the soldier effigy that was torn down from their home and their subsequent victim status.
There is further background information on these two over at E-Claire including this little tidbit.
She met Steven Pearcy when she was in 8th grade [13 years old]—he was her 31 year old math tutor, going to [University of CA at] Davis and working as a lab tech. She then moved in with Pearcy. “They had their own rooms, and didn’t get romantically involved until after she left UC Davis, they said. ” When Virginia turned 18, they ’suddenly‘ realized they were in luuurve and married. That same day, I believe. Steven was 36.

Above is an American flag hanging from a noose in front of the Pearcy house. This was prior to the effigy incidents.
Above is a yard sign that was posted prior to the election calling all Bush voters idiots. It was modified after the election by the Pearcy's. You figure a couple of lawyers could have drawn something better than a bunch of kindergartners, but you'd be wrong. I'm thinking my kids could have done a bit better.
While freedom of speech is a cornerstone of our society, you'd think that homeowners in the area would be protected from having their homes value directly affected by displays in poor taste such as noose hangings and signs spray painted and stuck on a lawn. Not necessarily to take someone's freedom of speech, but to prevent an eyesore for the whole of the neighborhood.

Yes, I believe it is. Not only that, the Iraqi flag in the right window I believe is the one with Saddam's handwriting that has now been changed. Does that mean they supported Saddam? Oh and a nice touch of having the PLO fly over the noosed American flag. I missed it until I enlarged the picture.

you'd figure that since they have a pretty nice house and well maintained yard that they could make the flower bed look better. would it kill them to at least plant some marigolds or something?

Ah...come on...that's not a "nice" lawn...
The grass is splotchy yellow...several patches of clover and evident crab grass. Not to mention, as Truth points out, the lack of decorative flora in the mulch bed.
Sheesh. ;-)
Oh yeah...and their flag choices suck too.

Pfft! I don't see any yellow in the lawn. The grass looks plush and green. I'd kill for that green of a lawn, but then I'd have to reseed to anything but Bermuda.
I agree though Truth, they should at least put some nice ground cover in the flower beds. Something at least.

These jerks have taken freedom of speech to a whole new low. And frankly, I think their lawn sucks. Whoever lives in that neighborhood should let their dogs go all over their yard, especially on the front steps.

I just e-mailed Virginia at Orrick. Her bio page has her e-mail on it. I am sure I am not the only one who has done that. It is just so disgusting the way these two supposedly intelligent people have abused the freedom of speech that they have. Spoiled children is what they are. They would be begging for their lives, and for the military to rescue them if they were in one of those terrorist slaughterhouses. Sometimes there is no explanation for true ignorance.

These people absolutely make me want to lose my supper. I know many people who are opposed to the war in Iraq, but they are still supportive of the men and women who are over there fighting and dying to protect the freedoms that we have, which the Pearcys are enjoying. Like being able to hang a soldier if effigy from their home and not being arrested or killed for it.
