During a drug stake out police ended up raiding a home that contained 16 illegal aliens that neighbors said had been living there for 3 months. The neighbor also said activity in the house had increased recently. K-9 sweeps ultimately did not discover any drugs.

While staking out the house, Mascorro said the officers observed a white Pontiac Bonneville pull up and park in the driveway.

"Two males jumped out of the trunk," Mascorro said.

The officers called for back up and for U.S. Border Patrol agents.

Mascorro said one of the suspected undocumented immigrants tried to flee the scene in a blue Dodge Ram truck as officers arrived, but was blocked off and taken into custody.
