Website Changes And Lame Comment Spam

I've been getting a bunch of comment spam, so I am looking into the situation. I'll probably be making some changes in the comments area. I've been trying to avoid using typekey or something else like that because it seems to cause problems with some sites, but I may have to.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks Wes, I'll look into it.

I've heard there might be some conflicts with mt-notify, but I'll see if I can get them to work together.
