So is Saudi Arabia a friend or just misleading us? If I go by the commercials they ran after September 11th they are a friend. I never trust commercials really and a commercial from a country that is not advertising tourism and is just saying "Saudi Arabia is your friend" smacks a little of an enemy trying to convince you they are your friend right before they attack you.

14 of the 19 highjackers on September 11th were Saudi Arabian. We hear about links to the Saudi royal family supporting terrorist organizations. Today there were several car bombs that went off in the capital of Riyad that targeted westerners housing. At least 40 Americans were injured with 10 killed. Saudi Arabia was very quick on the trigger blaming Al Qaeda within half an hour of the attack. We've moved our troops from bases there to places in Qatar.

It's kind of confusing to figure out if they are a friend or a foe and I'm not even sure myself. We need to start leaving these places though. It's really a waste IMHO to stay in places where we are not wanted.

On a lighter note I'm one of those Survivor freaks that still enjoys it. This latest one in the Amazon was won by a "swimsuit model" named Jenna who is 21, lives with her parents, whined the whole time and basically laid around for 4 weeks while everyone else busted their ass. In the end she won $1 million dollars for her effort (or lack thereof). Only in America can you be a lazy spoiled brat who puts forth no effort and still get paid.
