Lou Dobbs Resigns From CNN - Where Is He Going? [Video]

Bookmark and Share

Lou Dobbs
Lou Dobbs made a surprise announcement on his show last night, November 11, 2009, that it would be his last. He has been with CNN since its inception 30 years ago. Dobbs has been facing numerous protests from race based and race card playing groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center and La Raza. These racist groups have been calling for Dobbs's firing for his stances on illegal immigration, which they claim are racist, but is simply calling for immigration laws to be enforced.

No doubt these groups will try and claim a victory, but in his farewell address below Dobbs does not seem disappointed at all, nor beaten. He actually seems relieved or content. Dobbs sighted the "winds of change" that are occurring as to his decision to leave the network. I believe these changes are not just in the country as a whole as he states, but the serious left turn that CNN has been taking. Dobbs simply speaks too much truth about the CNN anointed Barack Obama - and any questioning of CNN approved socialist policies and decisions needs to be muzzled.

So Where to from here for Lou?

Some are speculating that he is going to enter politics. Some are saying that he is going to retire completely. I do not believe either scenario though.

Dobbs states that he wants to continue to communicate the truth, that obviously doesn't really factor in politics. Also I cannot see him running for representative or for senator, there simply isn't enough teeth from those positions as Dobbs would want to have. That leaves governor or president. I don't see him leaving this early from CNN to start a presidential campaign, I believe he would stay another year to 6 months. As for governor... which state? Because New Jersey just had their gubernatorial election.

The other speculation, that Dobbs would resigning completely, is kind of refuted by his statements below and his actions. These do not push in the direction of him going anywhere. He just signed just last year to host 3 hours of talk radio every weekday. That is not the sign of someone about to retire.

I was actually thrilled to hear that Dobbs was leaving CNN and here is why.

I believe he is headed to Fox News. My reasoning for this is that Fox has really shown that it can take a personality like Lou Dobbs and turn him into a smashing success. Glenn Beck started in TV at CNN and then moved to Fox, where the muzzle CNN had on him was removed and he was allowed to blossom. I have noticed the same thing with Dobbs, that over the past year he has been a little less passionate and careful on certain issues, I believe this was because of pressure from above.

With Dobbs moving to Fox he could really let loose his true feelings on a host of issues without having to worry about restrictions. Fox is interested in ratings and money and they have really shown that allowing individuals to chart their own course and have creative freedom as to how they present their opinion has been a success. Beck alone proves this.

Another little thing that makes me think this is something many probably missed in his last show. Towards the end, Dobbs made a statement. He said that leader and people need to "say what they mean and mean what they say". While this is not a totally obscure saying, I've never heard Dobbs say it on his show. However, I have heard Glenn Beck say it on his show over and over for at least the past 6 months, sometimes even 3 or more times on one show. Also the way I heard it, it almost sounded like he had been awaiting the chance to work that specific statement in somewhere.

Was this a secret message sent from Dobbs? A little clue? I'm sure we'll find out quite soon.
(Update: Watch this video I have put together of Dobbs's Hint On Move To FOX News)

The irony of the whole situation is that racist organizations like the SPLC and La Raza have managed to push the issue of restrictions on Dobbs to the point where he has realized them and decided to make a change. In doing so, if Dobbs ends up at Fox, he will undoubtedly become a huge success and reach more people than he ever could at CNN.

And that couldn't make me happier as millions and millions of more people will see the outright racism that is the SPLC and La Raza. They've nailed their own coffin shut.
