Having not learned from John McCain's run for the White House after kissing La Raza ass for years on illegal immigration - and still not receiving the Hispanic vote - 8 Republican Senators intend to vote for confirming Sonia Sotomayor this afternoon. I can guarantee you that these 8 senators are doing so because they believe that voting "nay" on her confirmation would somehow lose them Hispanic support. However, In doing so they are confirming that in their eyes race is more important than values and principles and what is best for the United States. Sotomayor has stated time and again she is into looking at foreign law when deciding cases and that her race and gender make her wiser than others.
It is an ill informed self-interest vote by these senators for them politically. Many Hispanics/Latinos in this country do not support illegal immigration and the race playing tactics of groups like the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (PRLDEF) and the National Council of La Raza - two groups that Sotomayor stands hand in hand with.
These 8 Republican senators should be scorned at every turn - as should all who vote for Sotomayor's confirmation on the Democrat side. They are all complete sellouts of the United States, The Constitution, Law and Order and Equality for all in this country.
With that being said, there is little we can do once the confirmation happens. It is important that we don't lose our focus and continue pushing the Senate on all issues - even as hopeless as it seems. The Senate is a bastion of the "hate Americans" crowd - on a par with Europe - who hate the success that hard working Americans create for themselves. They have been that way for decades and will remain so. Almost all of them are cowards and when confronted en masse will run into a corner and cry.
Here are the following 8 Republican senators who are planning on voting yea on Sotomayor. They are all smiling because they are screwing you time and time again...
...and getting away with it.
