Well, better start preparing for disaster because now we don't even have friends in The House of Representatives, "The People's House". Americans were overwhelmingly against spending their tax money on "If's". Time after time in interview after interview the politicians have been quoted saying "IF" this works. Nice that they can spend a crapload OF YOUR MONEY on an "IF" scenario.
Here's a quote from Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey on why he switched and voted for it "I pray that I'm doing the right thing," Pascrell said.
You people better wake up and start demanding action.
As of this time, the House website is conveniently dead so that the People of the United States can't see who the traitors are to this country, just as it was the other day. You never see The House website go down, but with this bill alone it has collapsed under the weight TWICE on this bailout this week. This is what you see on the House website, because, of course, Americans were writing in to tell their reps to vote for this massive, gigantic heaping pile of waste of their money (right?).

All I know is that writing and calling your representatives in Congress no longer seems to work. Interview after interview of politician said they had received overwhelming emails, letters and calls AGAINST this total incompetence. So what do they do? They add another $150 billion in spending into the bill and then pass it.
What to do now? Well first I would VOTE ALL OF THESE PEOPLE OUT. They are not looking out for you. They are no longer listening to YOU. They are no longer representing YOU. They are representing businesses, their buddies and unstudied "solutions".
We send these people to Washington to represent US and they can't even do that right.
I'm pissed and you should be as well. Government is out of control and it's time for The People to rein it back in.
So stop sitting on your ass, get up and act! The time for sitting is over.

Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (HR 1424)
A bill to provide authority for the Federal Government to purchase and insure certain types of troubled assets for the purposes of providing stability to and preventing disruption in the economy and financial system and protecting taxpayers, to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide incentives for energy production and conservation, to extend certain expiring provisions, to provide individual income tax relief, and for other purposes.
I don't know about you, but spending our money in huge volumes neither protects the taxpayer, nor provides income tax relief. Other purposes! I think I'll claims some deductions on my taxes and just put "Other Purposes" in the description and see if they agree to that.
