John Press has been busy working on some video and I'll be posting them here. Press is the author of Culturism, a book that proclaims we should be proud of western culture and protect it. (see my review of Culturism here)

So is Western Culture superior?

In the video below Press points out that indeed it is not. It is a perceived belief that it is superior only because you may have been brought up in that culture. Wow! How un-American and un-western cultural is that?

Well the truth of it is that John Press is correct. Those of us in Western Culture take it for granted. Many sit around and judge other cultures as a lesser. By doing so however you are really weakening yourself. You are setting yourself up for failure, because by believing that Western Culture is innately superior, you are saying that it will win out in the end no matter what. And that simply isn't true!

Western Culture, as any culture, must be fought for. There is no magical rule that says Western Culture will outlive all other cultures. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you will realize that our culture is under attack from all fronts. From within, by multiculturalists and from without by nations and religions throughout the world who will take advantage of our complacency and belief that our culture is inherently superior.
