Fort Huachuca located in Arizona is the top intelligence training center in the United States and has been targeted by terrorists. In order to carry out their attack these terrorists have worked with drug cartels in Mexico to be smuggled across the southern border along with their weapons they plan to use in the attack.
I am not shocked and I'd just like to remind everyone that for every illegal alien caught it is estimated that 3-5 get by, so I don't consider the discovery of this plot to be a victory. All it does is reinforce the fact that terrorists have successfully crossed our southern border and are currently here in the United States. You'd have to be completely naive to think otherwise. As for their weapons... well how many tons of heroin cross the border every year and aren't detected?

Fort Huachuca, the nation's largest intelligence-training center, changed security measures in May after being warned that Islamist terrorists, with the aid of Mexican drug cartels, were planning an attack on the facility.
Fort officials changed security measures after sources warned that possibly 60 Afghan and Iraqi terrorists were to be smuggled into the U.S. through underground tunnels with high-powered weapons to attack the Arizona Army base, according to multiple confidential law enforcement documents obtained by The Washington Times.
60 are disrupted, that means going off of the figures that hundreds may currently be in the US. Unless of course you believe our border security along our southern border is so advanced we can actually distinguish and allow illegal aliens just wanting to come here to work in, while singling out terrorists who would do us harm.
"A portion of the operatives were in the United States, with the remainder not yet in the United States," according to one of the documents, an FBI advisory that was distributed to the Defense Intelligence Agency, the CIA, Customs and Border Protection and the Justice Department, among several other law enforcement agencies throughout the nation. "The Afghanis and Iraqis shaved their beards so as not to appear to be Middle Easterners."
Kudos to Sara A. Carter for once again digging into the travesty of not only our immigration failures, but also what comes with it, a lack of homeland security. You can't have one without the other.
According to the FBI advisory, each Middle Easterner paid Mexican drug lords $20,000 "or the equivalent in weapons" for the cartel's assistance in smuggling them and their weapons through tunnels along the border into the U.S. The weapons would be sent through tunnels that supposedly ended in Arizona and New Mexico, but the Islamist terrorists would be smuggled through Laredo, Texas, and reclaim the weapons later.
The report goes on to point out that the leaders at the base are sure that it's secure now that the plot has been exposed. Simply a way to give false security to those who are currently stationed at the base.
This has been going on for years and is nothing new. Though it is good to see it actually being reported now instead of swept under the rug.

Just our luck. Our military is contemplating their navels in Iraq while the homeland is threatened; why is our NATIONAL guard not at home?
Who knows, they might have come in handy if there were hurricanes or mass fires. Better yet, declare war on Mexico, assign them to the border, and provide interior enforcement to deport the illegals.
If we involve the large numbers of the regular military in deporting we have an improved chance of catching terrorists, too.
Another legitimate angle on illegals; they are taking up affordable housing meant for citizens and immigrants.
