I attended the Berks County GOP Fall Newsmaker Dinner featuring Mayor Lou Barletta of Hazleton, Pennsylvania last night, October 16, 2007. As I've already mentioned I managed to actually sit down and interview Mayor Lou Barletta whom I was lucky enough to be placed at the same table with. Lou is a hero of mine and has been for quite awhile. I unfortunately missed meeting him back in April at the Hold Their Feet To The Fire event in Washington DC and have regretted it every minute since then. After he put up with my incessant questioning and we ate dinner, he was forced to once again receive a question from me as he opened the question and answer session after his speech. I asked him his opinion of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's signing of a law that prohibits cities in California from enacting measures like Barletta and Hazleton did with the Illegal Immigration Relief Act.
