NC Rep Sue Myrick Introduces Scott Gardner Act - Deporting Drunk Driving Illegal Aliens

North Carolina Representative Sue Myrick has pledged to reintroduce a congressional bill entitled the Scott Gardner Act which would make detention and deportation of illegal aliens convicted of DWI mandatory. This is a common sense bill. First of all the immigrant is here illegally. Secondly, they are putting the lives of American citizens and legal residents at risk. The bill passed in the House last year, but failed in the Senate.

KSOC

on Monday, flanked by the families of some victims lost to crashes involving illegal immigrants accused of driving drunk, Myrick said she's ready to push for a second time for a federal law to crack down.

"It would make (driving while impaired) grounds for mandatory detention and deportation of illegal aliens who are convicted of DWI," Myrick, R-Charlotte, said.

... named for the Gaston County man killed when an illegal immigrant driving drunk crashed into his family's car during July 2005.

When that driver, Ramiro Gallegos, pled guilty it was his sixth DWI conviction.

If Ramiro Gallegos had been detained and deported the first time it would have helped, but under the current porous borders he probably would have returned to this country rather quickly.

Also see the story of Amy Kortlang whose killer was arrested 4 times in California for Drunk Driving and even after being deported returned to hit her head on killing her.

While this is a good bill we need to secure our borders for it to be effective.

Does anyone see the irony of this? Rep Sue Myrick, a big opponent of illegal immigration is riled up over Bank of America's new credit card that illegal immigrants might be able to use. Does anyone else see the irony in her solution?

I wonder if Myrick will be getting her donations from India?

Local banks are your friend. I don't think there's single international bank that isn't doing some sort of fiasco that is hurting American workers or this country's sovereignty.
