Yes, those racist wackos, the American people as a whole, are back at it again with their hate filled immigrant bashing in the latest Zogby poll. The poll shows that 85% of the people in the United States think that English is the official language of the country. When informed that English isn't currently the official language, a full 84% of them said it should be.
Damn those racist bastards!
Those who want the United States dissolved and replaced by a North American Union without borders for Canada, The United States and Mexico would have you believe that the majority of the country is against such common sense declarations. But it simply isn't true. As a matter of fact since the last poll in June 2005 the percentage of those wanting English declared the official language has increased from 79%.

Demographic and political breakdowns showed overwhelming support across the board with 86 percent of whites, 71 percent of Hispanics, and 77 percent of African-Americans agreeing. By party affiliation 82 percent of Democrats, 91 percent of Republicans, and 77 percent of self-identified Independents agreed with making English the official language of the United States.
Ideologically, 86 percent of moderates, 87 percent of conservatives, and 78 percent of liberals and progressives, favored making English the official language.
Declaring English as the official language of the United States would put the burden of translation on the individual rather than on the backs of all Americans. If some of those groups out there who continue to insist that 84% of Americans are racist by wanting this legislation would like to provide translation services, then let them fund it themselves.
As for you immigrants out there coming to the United States, here is a little word of advice. Quickly learn that you are responsible for your own survival and the American people have already given you enough by allowing you to come to our country legally and enjoy the safety, security and opportunities that it provide. While we are a generous people, you should expect no more and definitely you shouldn't be demanding more and neither should the groups that claim to support you.
