Right on the heels of the flag ban at Skyline H.S. in Longmont, Colorado, reading this story (with video) from nearby Westminster really hurt this morning:
The immigration debate and demonstrations caused a middle school in Adams County to change their dress code.
Students at Shaw Heights Middle School are no longer allowed to wear anything that's patriotic, including camouflage pants, because they have become a political symbol for a version of patriotism.

Myla Shepherd, the principal, said that tensions over the immigration issue were apparent when more than 20 students came to school wearing camouflage jackets and pants, apparently to show what they call their patriotism and American pride.
Sweet Fancy Moses! Patriotism? American pride? You'd think we were in America or something.
She said the dress code diffused the tension immediately.
I just bet it did -- used much, I would imagine, like these...
"It upsets me that we cannot support our troops, the military," said Kirsten Golgart, an eighth grader who was told she'd be suspended if she didn't change her clothes. "We can't support our country. If we're American, I think we should be proud to be an American."
Damn right.

This is becoming absolutely nauseating.
As a parent, I would go dressed in "our" colors!
My God, it is like being an American is equated to being in a gang!
Get them (the liberals AND the illegals) the hell out of our schools!

Mysterians, euphorians, 'progressives', liberals, no matter what you want to call them, seek to subvert this country by removing any semblance of American history and culture. By removing our history they seek to bring us all down to one common denominator. That accomplished what are we? You guessed it - Standing in line in our drab grey overalls, waiting for our daily cup of gruel from the State. When one can not even wear clothing depicting even a modicum of patriotism or love of country, you know the end is not long in coming. Stand up America! Wear that flag on you shirt, put that flag sticker on your car, wear those camouflage fatigues and let's chase these liberals and mysterians back across the pond where they belong!
