Last weeks poll was on whether a husband should be notified if his wife chooses to have an abortion.

We received over 450 votes in this poll.

More than half agree, but I found this a little disturbing. While 17.8% don't agree with abortion at all -- which is their right and I respect it -- 31.1% feel that a wife should be allowed to be all sneaky and go get an abortion without notifying their husband. It's rather telling of how people feel about marriage in this day and age. That it's not about both working together towards one goal, but that the individual should be able to go off and make major decisions without communicating to their lifelong partner. Either that or I'm misreading the results and people just don't feel that they should be told by the government by law that they have to notify their spouse.
