Bryan Barton, A volunteer for the Minuteman Project, was dismissed over an incident involving a t-shirt. After feeding an illegal alien he spotted 10 miles north of the Mexican Border, Barton is said to have given the illegal $20. While waiting for federal agents he then posed for a photo with the illegal holding a t-shirt that read "Bryan Barton caught an illegal alien and all I got was this lousy T-shirt".

"The volunteer's actions were admirable, justified and undeniably humane," Chris Simcox, a project official, said in a news release, "but unfortunately they jeopardized our established procedures and overall purpose of passively monitoring the border."

"Our adversaries will take even the most benign event and try to develop it into an international incident," Simcox said. "We cannot allow any digression from our established policies and procedures."
