The double standard rears it's ugly head as the University of Central Oklahoma College Republicans plan a
Straight Pride Week. The Gay Alliance for Tolerance and Equality (GATE) immediately branded it as discriminatory and racist hate. Never mind the title of their group and that it mentions
tolerance and
equality and that Homosexuals are renown for their gay and lesbian parades throughout the country.
I suppose unless it's a minority group having pride in their culture, beliefs or lifestyle then it's 100% wrong according to any of these groups that claim to want equality.

A University of Central Oklahoma student group is planning what it calls "Straight Pride Week" on campus.
Members of the College Republicans said despite objections from some, they have every right to celebrate.
"The general gist is that if you are a straight student on campus be proud, be loud, this is your time to shine," said college Republican Kyle Houts.
The group has posted fliers on campus that read, "we're here, we're conservative, we're out."
Members of the Gay Alliance for Tolerance and Equality say they consider the College Republican's celebration an attack on gay and lesbian students.
"What is there to say about it, 'I'm proud, and I'm straight and I guess white,' I don't know?" said GATE member Jennifer Rodriguez. "I think they definitely are being discriminatory because there's probably a lot of gay Republicans out there."
University officials have given the College Republicans permission to put up their fliers, but say their approval does not constitute an endorsement.

Straight Pride Week just screams "I'm White". Everyone knows that only white people are straight after all. I also guess that
Straight Pride Week is for Republicans only because we know that only Republicans are straight.

I changed the headline of my post, so your link no longer works. The correct link is News Flash: Most Citizens Are Straight. Wouldn't want you inferring the wrong thing.
Did you even read the posts you link to? Not a single one calls for such stunts to be banned, and all but one are from conservative or libertarian bloggers -- yes, those libertarians whom you claim to respect as political cousins and whom you claim to want in your big, or little, or whatever-sized tent you Republicans claim to have.
Thanks for reminding us that "conservative" is not about economic policy, or foreign policy, or civil liberties. It's about those uppity gays.
