I've finally gotten around to categorizing everything. It was a pain going through all the entries and having them in multiple categories and subcategories etc., but seems to be worth it. You can see a category list on the left navbar below the Recent Entries now with a total of posts in each category.

You can also see the categories that the story was filed under at the bottom of an individual entry just below the "Posted By:" notice.
