This is just absolutely the stupidest thing I think I've ever heard. In order to show their hatred at the fact they didn't get drivers licenses, illegal aliens are going to boycott gas stations in Southern California. The fact that they are even an organized force should raise eyebrows for everyone in power, but it won't of course. What they intend to accomplish by doing this I have no idea. Maybe it's a way of losing weight.

Latino leaders on Monday called for a weekly boycott of gas stations throughout the state as a way to pressure lawmakers to allow illegal immigrants to apply for drivers licenses.

Pro-immigrant groups urged drivers to avoid buying gas every Monday for the next year or until lawmakers resurrect the immigrant license bill Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed in September.

Schwarzenegger said the bill ignored his requirement of key security safeguards, including an identifying mark that would differentiate them from licenses held by U.S. citizens and legal residents.

State Sen. Gil Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, who introduced previous attempts to license illegal immigrants, plans to introduce another version of the bill next month.

Supporters of such a bill say it would make roads safer because immigrants would be properly trained and insured. Opponents cite security concerns and say it would reward illegal immigrants for breaking the law.
