US Soldier Shoots Terrorist In Mosque

I'm not really into reporting on this story so I'm gonna make some quick comments and let the others do the talking. Visit all the other sites below covering this.

My main comment is, so what. This is a war, this plain clothes terrorist was attacking our soldiers from inside a "protected" mosque in direct violation of the rules of war. As Chad at In The Bullpen puts it

While our soldiers have to follow the Geneva Convention and get international and domestic criticism even when they are kind and generous as any soldier can be expected to be, the terrorists they are fighting use every dirty trick in the book. First off, the Geneva Convention does not apply to non-uniformed civilians in combat. The terrrorists are non-uniformed civilians.
All you smart guys out there who have never served a day in combat can kiss my ass. Apparently a day or so before, in a similar incident involving the same unit, a dying terrorist blew himself and a soldier up.

You only have a split second to react. At the most this soldier should be reprimanded.

Go read these peoples comments and reports.

I agree with the first writer(I am new at this, I suppose it is "Digger").
1. We are at war.
2. The rebels are not uniformed.
3. Prior bodies have been boobie-trapped.

Additionally, the tape does not show if the wounded did or did not show a suspicious move.
We have to take into account the prejudicual view of the cameraman. He only showed what he wanted to show.

Now I have a question. How did Al Jazeal (Muslim Propaganda TV) get that tape and show the names of the soldiers, etc??? Obviously NBC gave it too them unedited!!

Yes, it was I who wrote the above.

The cameraman, a left leaning individual, apparently sold the raw video to Al-Jazeera and it has been broadcast, unedited throughout the arab world.

You can find more at some of those links I posted above (they open in a new window).

Thanks for using my quote Digger. It just completely infuriates me why our media is so anti-American soldier.

Reprimanded, your article says?? Give him a medal. He put the terrorist out of his misery, gave him a place in heaven and rid the world of one more nutcase.

Ther's not even one pinko liberal on earth who would criticize him, let alone convict him under the Juniper Contraption.

Preaching to the Chore.
I agree with most of that, which has been written, except I do not beleave the Marine should even be repramanded. From what I saw he was completly justified. At least we are behind this man. Its a shame his Commandant is not. Not to mention the Commander and Cheif.
