INDC And Sekimori Designs In Major Public Dispute

Bookmark and Share

Right out of the pages of Soap Opera Digest there is a major dispute in the blogosphere between two well knowns. Bill of INDC and Stacy Tabb of Sekimori Designs have taken their grievances public in a battle of epic proportions over site design.

Sekimori struck first with a vicious attack on Bill over claimed non-payment for work completed.

Bill countered with claims that the work wasn't completed and she was demanding payment for an incomplete job.

Having both brought the issue out into the public, us pajama clad pundits get to comment on the issue and bask in the gossip of it all.

Questions abound.

1) Did Stacy sleep with Bill's brother?
2) Did Bill's evil twin play a role in this fiasco?
3) Did Stacy really die last season and was brought back by Dr. Rusty Shackleford?
4) Were Michelle Malkin and Stacy caught in a lesbian tryst that the blogosphere was denied video of?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Is there some deep-seated sexual conflict just under the surface here? I think they are in love.

She made a completely unforseen false accusation about my honesty and honor in public, and I do not take it lightly.

Something for you to consider in your treatment of the matter.

I understand Bill, and it is serious to be pretty much slandered in public.

I jest of course.

Am I not allowed to jest?

Jest all you want funnyman. CBS News, The Boston Globe ...

Is Digger's Realm next on INDC's trophy wall?

:-)

hahaha

Well it'd be kinda hard to rip apart my site as a serious news source.

*puts his jester suit on and does a jig*

Bill is, to say the least, prickly. I placed a brief comment at his site before the election regarding my fear of a tidal wave of MSM attacks on Mr. Bush in the next few days. In my comment I said "Bill, I pray you wake up before it's too late". He then immediately posted a snarky personal insult. I e-mailed him and very politely asked why he had gone ballistic; his terse response was "Nobody talks to me like that on my blog". I still occasionally read his blog, but no longer comment (and I'm probably blocked). So I'm no friend of Bill.

However, this spat really seems silly. I've got twin 8 year-old boys and they do this kind of childish stuff all the time. Why didn't somebody pick up the phone and talk about it? Perhaps bloggers have their fingers so tightly glued to a keyboard, they have forgotten how to walk across the street or pick up the phone. Shame on both of them.

I agree with the previous poster. Most conflicts are best resolved with productive dialogue. Of course if one side refuses to even discuss the matter (or acknowledge the effort) who can be blamed for hard feelings? It is wise to never "slap away" an extended hand. Pick-up the phone.

EdWonk -

She did not let me know there was a problem and refuses to give a phone number.

Old Coot is posting this same comment on various blogs, so I'll paste my response:

Old Coot -

What you seem dissonant about is the fact that YOU calling anyone prickly is like the darkest pot maligning a grey kettle.

That being said, yes, I'm prickly. And the next time someone condescends to me by saying "I pray you wake-up" when they disagree with me I will proceed to drop a MOAB on their head every. single. time.

As for the rest of your analysis, and your castigation for not dealing in private, I was unaware that there was a problem brewing, so once again, you don't know what you are talking about.

Damn I'm glad that I booted you from my site.

Posted by: Bill from INDC on November 10, 2004 05:05 PM

I rest my case.

Posted by: The Old Coot on November 10, 2004 05:10 PM

Wow. I used to read INDC quite a bit, it used to be interesting a few months ago. But this is low... his "trophy wall?" "condescends to him"?? For saying " what coot said? Cripes. Who does he think he is? Swollen head... some bloggers have let the CBS thing go to far North. The sad thing is, when you think about the grand scheme of things, its such a small thing. Worse, IIRC, he wasn't even the one who broke CBS. That was powerline, right? And Charles. And the pathetic state of the blog now... he's actually advertizing his advertizers! Holy sht. How pathetic is that? Dude, cut the stupid atitude, keep the head down and write some good stuff. The crowd will come back.

Mark: Thanks for the cogent thoughts. I don't know if it's immaturity or aggogance that makes folks react like he did, maybe both. Sad. FYI, there's much more of this story @ www.texasnative.com/weblog (sorry, I don't know how to link). You might find it interesting.
