There were tons of visions of doom and gloom thrown about during the California recall election last year. It would be the end of the world if Arnold Schwarzenneger was installed as Governor, businesses would run from the state and the legislature would be gridlocked. So how is the state one year later?

Joe Gandelman at The Moderate Voice takes a look.

Count me among those who thought Arnold Schwarzenegger's election as governor of California was going to be, at best, a comeuppance for a political newbie whose ego had run amuck, and at worst governmental chaos for the people of California.
