The Article alleges that President Arroyo personally authorized to pay the Iraqi terrorists holding hostage filipino truck driver Angelo de la Cruz $6 million for his release.

Now not only is the Philippine government caving into the terrorists, but rewarding them for their actions and encouraging even more ransom demands in the future. I'm really shocked at the actions the Philippines has taken in the past week. First they cave into demands to remove their troops and now it is discovered that they also paid!

This is surely to cause more damage than not being involved from the start. If they were going to fold over 1 hostage then they should have not commited themselves from the start.
